Well he noticed that eastway grew, which means eastway's score would go up. But later on he attributes that same score increase to a tech even though it's 1 more point than the other (real) tech increases, and has to conclude that it's Masonry due to the time taken to complete the tech.

Thankfully player opinion on the value of civs has changed over the years. China used to be considered junk but now it's pretty much always a valid pick.

Darius is pretty awesome, but I've played him twice and I'd never want to again...he's boring as all hell. Ottomen are just boring as all hell; honestly if I had an Agri/Wheel start I'd rather take even poor Babylon.
Not bad at all in strength; boring as crap in mechanics.
Honestly after calling 21/24 leadercivs in PB17 I'm completely disenchanted with that whole lot.

Well it's crazy because it's never been done before. (Except in 23 where you were supposed to move off your starting tile, I think?) People often take precautions so that nobody accidentally settles their capital on copper/horse as well.
I guess this means AT actually benefits from teching BW before Fishing when he really had no good reason to do that.

Yeah, PBEM7 did it, with horses at the capital but on an islands. It has advantages and disadvantages...
