We traded cities? Or are we talking about TBS selling the islands for a pittance still?

Yeah sorry about that, we've been finishing these turns later and later at night, and usually I'm too spent to then write up a proper report afterwards.

Anyway, we offered Old Harry two of the TBS cities (Captain Trips and Musket Shrine - the two on the west side of the island) for 750 gold total. We can't realistically defend these from mackoti without significant investment, so we figured this would be a nice way to get something for them. We've been wanting to try selling them to dtay, but annoying he's been sitting on like 100g max for a few turns in a row lol.

Anyway, judging from Civstats they didn't accept. I haven't been in to see if they re-offered yet, but if they re-offer for even half of what we asked for, we'll probably take the deal.

Jumped in real quick to see what we're up against on the eve of our peace treaty with Mack expiring.

He offered it again. Again, rejected, since we're far more interested in 10T of peace than a defensive pact that would go away the minute we declared on Bigger. I think we're generally agreed that we're willing to give up a couple cities in exchange for 10T of peace (though probably Musket Shrine and not Chrysalis - which would give him a safe port to hit our west coast), but we'll see what he does next turn. I checked to see what he's planning:

So those 2 movers can theoretically hit Captain Trips, Kid Dinosaur, and Chrysalis next turn. However, we should be able to negate this with some careful pillaging so that he can only hit Chrysalis. That said, pillaging the windmill road 1NW of Chrysalis is a questionable move since it prevents us from easily counter-attacking, so who knows really. We'll have to spend some time thinking about how to defend since he gets the first stab at things next turn.

This is what he has in reserve and I gotta say, it sure looks like he withdrew most all his siege. We can't say for sure without using the sentry Knight (which we should), but a bunch of Galleons and cannons disappeared. I have no idea what this means.

Also, mackoti is definitely aiming for either Physics or Communism like us. On the side it says he can get Scientific Method in 3T. We can get it in 3T of break-even, or 2T if we speed it up... But I actually think we should probably let him complete it first, stash a little gold, and then draft on him a little using the known tech bonus to hopefully beat him to Physics.

Man, it would be glorious to sink that fleet with CR AmphiGrens.

Well, I'd assume that it means he thinks he doesn't need the siege. And from the units I see in the cities right now, I don't think he needs the siege either. lol

FYI pindicator:

So I think we're good to just pillage the road 1SE of Trips, and that should prevent him from hitting the city next turn with anything other than that solo Knight. No workers close enough to combat road that grassland 1S of the city.
