Holy crap, Twinkletoes has joined the war and sniped a city off B4ndit as well--the only reason I have to not join as well is that I don't share any borders with him
I'll do a full report later, with a lot of T100-style summary graphs and such.

T100 Report:
T100 was an eventful one, as yet another civ joined the B4ndit pile-on:
Apparently Twinkletoes must have seen a city he could take--fair enough
The only reason I haven't joined in at this point is that I don't border any of B4ndit's cities after eastway took my cities, as well as Bursa. I have no clue how much military AT and Twinkletoes have given up to pile-on B4ndit--it doesn't seem like much at least. Heck, B4ndit's down to only four cities at this point!
That picture also has the north situation--the knights are coming!
More of the same in the south, but there's two things that concern me:
- eastway put another longbow in Miasma Woods--that's only 4 units, but it's certainly more than my ~8 units can handle at the moment
- eastway gained the neutral tile west of Ancheim--does that mean he can see my stack now? I hope not
I know I promised a bunch of overviews and such for T100, but I don't know if I'll get to it--I have all the pictures here, and I'll put in a separate post if I do decide to go into detail into it--it should be self-explanatory though, and if there's anything people want to see that I missed, let me know and I'll get pictures next turn.

T101 Report:
Very interesting turn today, and it started off with a very interesting diplo offer...
As well as this boring one
Not much here--I didn't accept, but instead canceled the dyes for ivory deal with AT (since I connected my own ivory now; not to mention AT really doesn't need the help, as we'll see in a bit) and offered Twinkletoes dyes for the silver. Now let's get to the interesting deal:
This is weird--eastway's seems like he's trying to buy some peace, but after I accepted (since I need a couple turns to get my troops in order regardless), I checked and I can still declare on him whenever I want. Other than eastway's gifts (and 2 happy in most of my cities is welcome regardless), this lets me check on eastway's troops, notably in Hartschild. It also gives me an updated map of at least eastway's side of the carved-up B4ndit territory, which I'll show after we get through the domestic stuff. One thing I am weary about is that I'm giving eastway an outlet for international trade routes, but I don't think it's that big of a deal at this point--I'm going to be king-making based on who I attack; a couple commerce here or there won't change much
One more thing before the domestic stuff; the event log is providing even more surprises:
Really, AT saved his engineer to rush Taj? At least AT doesn't have MoM (like I thought he did; eastway has that), so that means there's less net commerce/production being earned and I'm not falling quite as far behind
Also, AT captured another B4ndit city (which means he's down to 3 total, unless he founded another one last turn), and Twinkletoes decided to stop at least some of B4ndit's pain. At the point B4ndit's at (where there's little to no play left; keep in mind he's way behind in tech in addition to being almost out of cities), what are you supposed to do? Hopefully when I go out, either it's staying pretty much where I am while the heavyweights attack each other, or going out in a blaze of glory and reclaiming some of my territory before dying quickly.
Anyway, on to the domestic shots, starting in the north:
As I mentioned, I switched back to Slavery this turn before the golden age ended, so I could start whipping knights where applicable (mainly the cities still working unimproved tiles--yes, I know, but a lot of that ship has sailed, and thus the improvements in my play can mainly be found in PB18 (for those that can see it)), as well as whipping some of the infrastructure in my newer cities (Mythril Mines, Ancheim, and probably soon a western city to work the deer).
More knights! At some point I feel like I need to attack, since my super-large army is cutting into my GNP so much--but I'm still not level with the leaders (even after finishing this turn's units). How much of an army is too much?
Now to what people have been waiting for--the eastway overview! Let's start in the west, by Hartschild:
Holy crap, that's a lot of axes--I would have thought eastway's army would have mainly still been in B4ndit's territory at this point, but based on one of the axes still being injured I think the stack just got back. Now to the east, by Miasma Woods:
Another mace--I'm pretty sure I'd be able to take Miasma Woods back at this point, but then I'd have to use my western stack mainly for defense--and the moment I declared eastway would immediately rush back all his troops and I'd get overwhelmed. I still don't know what to do now--we'll see what happens, and if eastway expects to see knights. Now for completeness, eastway's southern side:
Boring, except for the patch of blankness where Edirne was.
Now for a bit of C&D, starting with the all-important power graph:
Seriously Twinkletoes, you need to attack AT soon, before this Golden Age puts him so far ahead no one can catch him! Notably, AT doesn't have Guilds yet, so Twinkletoes is up Knights on him--please attack!
Now to a farewell look at the demos before the golden age ends--though not much actually changed position-wise when I ended turn:
At the very least, I'm glad I'll never be 4th again in any of the main categories
Finally, the tech breakdown:
Again, I'm still surprised I'm not that far behind at this point, and I can still 3-4 turn recent techs--granted, part of that's because of the known tech bonus on Engineering, but still.
I'm surprised this game isn't getting more lurker activity, especially since there's barely any PBEMs actually running at this point--other than 51 which no one is reporting for, we're the oldest BTS game I think, and there's a good competition between the 3 leaders (eastway's first in tech, Twinkletoe's first in pop, and AT's probably number 1 overall) in addition to my detailed reporting.

Today was very interesting--I want to do a full report, but I don't feel like it right now, so you get just the quick hits at the moment: - AT made peace with B4ndit, but eastway is moving some troops (including cats) up by Miasma Woods, presumably planning to attack Konya in an attempt to finish off B4ndit--I wonder how much WW eastway is taking at this point?
- The cats mini-stack also has two longbows, which might be going to Miasma Woods, which combined with the six units already there, probably means my window against eastway has closed. Though, the maces could join the Konya attack stack, which would reopen my window about the time my eastern Praets get in position. At this point, I think my attack is postponed until Engineering at the earliest (since I'm moving my western Praets 3 spaces away to give me flexibility)
- My archer checked in on Felina again, and the forces there are minimal (4 units, including a cat and spear; don't forget it's not on a hill). In addition, Granite State only has a warrior in it, and it's only 2 spaces away from my border--that's an easy raze if I were to fight AT. In addition, there's a lot of troops in one of AT's border cities with eastway--it could just be flip defense (I think it's one of the pieces of B4ndit, but I'm not sure), or it could be the sign of a coming attack! That would be what I need to get back in this game!

Re: lurker activity - I think you guys need a bit more DRAMA and toys thrown out of prams. Maybe double move someone and then threaten to quit or something?

But I like Seven...
Besides, we already had that--hopefully no one's saying the same kind of things about me based on my earlier stunt than they're saying about people like Azza and bantams--I'm still trying to play the turn at all costs at least (even putting it above perfect play in some aspects), and I'm even having fun in my likely-kingmaker role even though I know I'm probably not going to win
(but seriously, we need to find something that combines the lack of turn splits of PBEM with the anti-suspicious nature of Pitboss--have there been any other sequential Pitboss games ran other than the Demogame? (which lack of turn pace could be attributed to the team makeups, as well as the subsequent exodus of teammates))

PB10, which I thought worked alright - Seven, how come you haven't suggested sequential again? You wanted to play bigger games?
The main trouble with sequential is the lack of turn notification if you aren't the first (or last?) player. But Novice's PB18 tracker tool might just solve that issue. Hmmmm...

Sequential PB is functionally the same as PBEM, as far as I know. I've preferred PBEM because based on experience it's faster. There's no server downtime issue, reloading the game isn't a big ordeal, and players get inherent email notifications when it's their turn. And the only real benefit is people can't cheat as easily, which isn't very useful if you're trusting the people you play with anyway.
PB10 was a sequential team game, which works slightly differently. The difference between it and plain sequential turns is that team members play their turns at the same time as each other, and I think it's pretty much superior for games with teams. I really enjoyed PB10, but the impression I've gotten is that there isn't much interest in running it again. Since I organized the first one I figure someone else will step up and organize another if there's truly interest in it.

Another turn, and another report that probably's not going to be written. I'll be busy most of the weekend, so don't expect anything more than these short summaries for a while. I will try to get the turn played as well, but no promises.
Thanks for providing this forum with some much-needed activity everyone--hopefully my upcoming bold and/or suicidal moves will give more benefit
Anyway, onto the summary: - B4ndit signed peace with eastway, and actually got a city back! Sounds like he's really worried about me (or getting ready to attack me--hopefully not that )
- T-minus 2 turns until I'm ready for an attack on AT--that turn both roads will be finished so I can burn Granite State and move my force next to Felina--there's a bunch of units in and outside Felina, but I don't think they'll be able to stand up to my Praet stack with Knight and Catapult support (9 Praets in Florem, 11 Praets outside Florem in range, and a couple Cats/Knights). I think I just have to do this--it'll be a short-term success, and I think it'll put AT far enough behind to get eastway and Twinkletoes back in the race. Of course, I have absolutely no idea what I'll do after I burn Granite State and take Felina--hope eastway joins in?
- Right now the biggest mystery is what to research next--I think I'll just park on Banking or Compass and turn off research for a couple turns.
