The question is what do we do with all this army?
1. Take a couple of mongol cities? But they are oure current trade parthners...
2. Attack superdeath or MSci is both possible options. I would wait for a couple of praets though.
3. Go to Shallow-thought and play boomerang of fortune? No possible gain but we will most likely return some kind of balance to this game. Not easy to protect 10 cities against 15 axes without destroying economics. And I guess they are not so far on this map.
4. Tech Monarchy and set up as happy in cities. Venusburg is in trouble and a lot of other our cities too.

I set Sailing to finally establish island and ICTR.

Sorry for not reporting but I really lack time and motivation to do it.

As you might know from the other threads RFS is down to 1city. I planted 2cities on his territory without much reasoning. Honestly they only bring maintance to me.

After the situation with Charriu resolved we have built The Great Roman Wall and Hanging Roman Gardens.

But GNP is mediocre and I feel people are running away from me. I mean superdeath with TGLH, Magic with his Golden age and of course shallow_thought who is doing well in all terms.

If nothing special happens I am going to attack Magic with praets in a few turns. Need to shake things a little bit.

I think this will not be very hard to catch up in this game because not much is happening.

You will be leading by score from the beginning but you cant really rely on score because it mostly comes from wonders and land but not from perfect perfomance overall. However demographics is very close with shallow_thought(Persia).

Our war with MagicScience (Inca, green) turned to be 2 turn long. I razed 1 city, replanted it and offered peace. So our border looks pretty stable for me now.


This is potentially problematic region.

Earlier we captured 2 cities from RFS (Mongolia) who is down to 1 and currently is at war with shallow_thought. I dont know what is happening there now and is it late to come for a piece of pie again. Our stack is on its way towards that direction anyway:

As you can see from demos we are leading in power by some margin thought it mostly comes from the fact that praetorians give more soldiers but they actually do better than swords as well.

Need to mention that Charriu (China) has captured one of the best cities of RFS, may be we want it even more than RFS's capital. Also he was the worst enemy of ours, but I start forgetting why. I do not really recommend to read the past 3 pages of the thread. Better play with the cold head. But he is surrounding us from several directions and it is what you will have to deal with.



The only stable relations we have with Superdeath(Zulu). We have clam2clam deal and he is supplying us with horses. This might be a problem that we dont have our own horses. There is one on the border with MagicScience but it will be hard to hook it before our peace expire.

We have Stonehenge, Oracle, Gardens, Great Wall and Buddist shrine. I am currently building Pyramids, eta is ~10 turns but I dont have much hopes that it can be successfull since I started too late. But Stonehenge was available by T80 I think. So everything is possible. If we get access to Police State it will be awesome.

Also I started building Mausoleum a bit ago. Calendar has just arrived and there are a lot of new happy resources.

About overall strategy I will make some post a bit later. Check in game when you can (it is paused) and feel free to ask questions. I am going to continue being dedlurker if you dont mind.

In general I dont think we need to rush somewhere to attack. It is better to be ready to attack where necessary and react on some kind of missplay. May be it is not late to help RFS against shallow_thought but I actually expect him to fall on any turn here. Coming there and razing a city could be not bad idea though. Also get settler or 2 and hold them. When it comes to fight for neutral lands it is important to have free settlers

Grow cities, build calendar resources and cottages. On riversides try to leave room for watermills and farm them till the moment. It is worth that.

Metal casting is nice for forges. Do not hesitate to put some cities on research to get there. The next reasonable goal is Construction, then Aestetics/Literature path, then HBR and Machinery+Feud right after. You will need to run a couple of GA to get there and lets see who can follow us as quick as we do it.

That's a brief plan I think. May be you will see some other opportunities.
