The previous 52 player worldmap resulted in a tie between CV and AC on around turn 290, part of what made that game pretty legendary. Mansa's attempt here is doomed though, and he knows it. He's currently hoping for his first conquest with cuirassiers, that will not cut it.

Alternating Current. I'm no expert, but I don't think you could run an interstellar spaceship purely on DC.

That happens, but in that case it would not produce English words that make no sense to you.
(I was attempting a friendly joke that might push you towards the correct answer, but now I feel I'm just securing my place on the list )

I understood that you meant Space Victory the second time, so the aim was accomplished. I just couldn't figure out what the abbreviation meant still, partially because older Civ games had Space Victory go to the moon rather than Alpha Centauri. But in general I think of winning by Space as winning by Space and not Alpha Centauri so I don't think of it that way. The alternate way I think of winning by Space is winning by tiebreaker - if you can't conquer or dominate the world by the end of the tech tree, then you demonstrate your slight lead by winning by Space. It is a tech/production victory.

hm, and you could argue that CV is a no tech / production victory (in exchange for no tech you get defender's advantage). Problem here is Mali most likely will not have the production.

As a result of how overpowering Mining Inc. and Sid's Sushi usually are on maps like this, both were modded in this game. Consequently, a cultural victory becomes (a lot) more difficult to achieve.
I am not a betting man myself, but everything but a space (race) victory would be very surprising in this game.
