EDIT: Also, doesn't do us much good to finish this turn unless the Maya are also around. Maya has already played the current turn, and I think I can handle the next turn or two if they come up before Thursday (or even more than two, but it's not looking like we'll get that many in by then). If there's a chance to get one or more turns in next weekend (I'm gone Thursday through Monday) I *think* I can even leave sufficiently detailed instructions that a lurker (even a completely spoiled lurker) could log in and execute them for us without making any spoilable decisions ... if a lurker volunteers and it's okay with everybody.
That said, the point about Egypt obviously still stands. (It would also presumably help if anyone other than Shoot the Moon was ever on at a convenient time to unpause for him....)

Krill said that Memphus has been unable to get CIV installed on his machine, and I don't know if/when he'll be able to find another sub.

If a turn were to happen in the next couple of days and neither Ref nor Morgan could get it (I doubt this will happen, but you never know), I could probably play one turn. By Tue or Wed at the latest, I'm likely back in the completely unavailable column.

If you guys can find me a sub I can coach him through the moves as much as possible, but AFAICT, I'm not going to have an awful lot of internet access...
I'm sorry that Memphus can't do it, but that is like 5 players I've approached and something hasstopped them from playing, so I don't hold out much hope of finding an unspoiled player.

Well, if someone wants to post something in the general forum, I'd say go for it. TBH, with everything going on in our lives at present, I know at least 2/3 of the Mayan team has no problem waiting.

I also have no problem waiting. To be honest, I am starting to REALLY want a teammate. I signed up as a lurker, and even though I've been happy playing up until now, I'm starting to become seriously cramped for time, like I knew I would. If an interested, unspoiled player is found, I would certainly appreciate having them as a teammate, even if that means a pause now, as it will probably save multiple delays later.

I've got a different, rather radical proposal regarding temporary subs: how about a buddy system where one civ can ask the player(s) from another civ to play his turns during a holiday absence. It obviously gives away a lot of spoilers, but so much information is already being shared amongst the players that I think we should consider it, bearing in mind the difficulties we've encoutered with finding subs.
