Yep, me too. I was going to be firm in my Don't-Buy-Upon-Release-After-Civ5 stance, but Brick has worn me down.

I actually haven't bought it yet.

Probably makes sense to see if it drops when/if Steam does an October Fall Sale. I didn't think they dropped prices for games which haven't even been released, but they just took 15% off Deathwing (which releases around the same time as Civ VI) so

At least the Dollar to Reais conversion that Steam uses for Civ 6 is a pretty lenient one. It's R$ 130,00 currently, while U$ 60 in the current conversion would be R$ ~190,00. Still very expensive, though, currently 15% of our monthly minimal wage.

And to be clear, I'm not trying to make anyone buy it on release if you don't want to, I'm pretty reserved in my expectations too. I'm just trying to get a plan together to have a fun intro for those of you who do want to buy it, with the side benefit of having a lot of quick reports for those on the fence to read and judge before buying.

But Brick, there won't be anyone left on the fence after you're done here.
By the time the game is released everyone will be firmly entrenched on their side of the debate. Some will hopelessly try to justify the sunk costs of preordering, deluding themselves the game is good. The others will spew criticism at a game they've never played and never will play because they can't leave the security blanket of a game that has been around more than half their life!
We will bicker and fight and it's all your fault. The forum will collapse. Brick! What have you done?!

I believe the description is, "E4". (He made the first move.)
What's unfolded since could be named the Civ Gambit.

I guess I'll just take the blame and the majority of the vitriol from both sides. Isn't that what admins are for?
