Actually the distance from each city to Cf should be all that matters. We can see Chill Lakes gets +3 from Cuddlefish.
I'll try to do some micro tomorrow before the turn rolls.
I have to run.

I think Killing Ruff and growing those cities is the right answer then...

Looking in game now. You have Cf set up to get the 300GPP GP, and MG gets the 400GPP GP. I think we can easily make those the 400 and 500 GPP GPs though, and get the 300GP from DS or FR. Maybe we can even get GPs from both those two, and make the Cf and MG GPs the 500 and 600 ones.
Worth doing? I think we should push out a 300 GPP great artist just for the deterrence factor, and then probably use it for our 2-man golden age when we reach Economics.

So after a lot of back and forth we concluded that we would squeeze a 300GPP artist out of Just Desserts (while starving it down to size 4), get a mixed odds 400GPP merchant/engineer from Free Reign, and a 500GPP GSci from Cuddlefish on the first turn out of the Golden Age. Then fire another Golden Age and finish GPs in Dire Straights (artist) and Mind Grain (merchant), while also producing a GP in Wail Away, which should by then be powering out National Epic-fueled GPPs. DS and MG will produce 400ish GPP during this golden age.
We could have finished a 600GPP during this golden age, but it wouldn't be compatible with squeezing out the 300GPP person from a mediocre city, since the other cities can't pass 300GPP until after JD has produced its artist.
Dtay is on max sci on Aesthetics this turn, with an amusing GNP of 2700. TBS started a golden age. We got 388 beakers into Gunpowder from an event. I declined to spend gold on a 50% chance of more beakers.
I've looked at the current turn, Krill, but I haven't played it out, just fiddled a bit here and there. The BOS factor was too large for me to do more.
I have to run.
