PBEM40 developed during its setup into half of PBEM45 in the vets/greens split.
PBEM / PB list

Pretty sure thestick tried proposed a game and called it PBEM40 before there was any support for it and then it died and there was already a 41.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)

Updated and tidied the player lists in all of the PBEM sections. Shifted non-standard numbered PBEMs (Planetfall and Civ5) to a "Misc" section.
A few games are awaiting brief summaries from anyone familiar with them: - Civ4 PBEM 18 (Apprentices), 20, 22, 23, 30, 33, 34 (Greens), 39, 52, 53, 54, 55, 57 - FFH PBEM 8, 20, 24 - Civ5 PBEM (?) If you participated in one or more of these games, please take a moment to write a sentence or two roughly describing how it went. ![]()
I updated a few.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I have to run.
Updated all civs/leaders for all players in the Civ4 PBEM section. Took a lot longer than expected, mainly because apparently back in the day (before about PBEM20), it was not standard practice to update first posts with relevant information - nor to write summary posts. The earlier I got, the harder it was to dig the required information out of increasingly messy threads.
![]() ![]() Interestingly, during my travels through the annals of RB history - back through an era when it was still cool to pick Sury of India and Pacal of Inca - I discovered that PBEM8 was in fact two separate PBEM's. In stark contrast to current RB convention, both PBEM's conveniently used the same number (and of course the same thread) despite being completely different games with different players on a different map. ![]() On the plus side, it was mildly amusing to read badly ported thread titles like "E-MAIL & TECHNICAL ISSUES". Also interesting to journey even further back in time to a point where thread titles just specified "Gandhi" or "Saladin" - because what the heck are "unrestricted leaders"? ![]()
Font size for the player lists in PB18 might need increasing. I couldn't find a strong enough microscope to read it.

I debated reducing it, but the Google Spreadsheet is very irritating to navigate on a small screen when the size of one cell becomes larger than the height of the page. Will have a think about it and see if I can come up with an alternative way to display it... will be difficult though. There's just too damn many players. ![]()
Couldn't you just split the cell into 2 columns? (or more likely add a column and merge every other cell in that column)
Okay, another update.
Finally finished the task of adding all leaders/civs to the FFH PBEM's. Generally you folks had been pretty good about listing civs, but hardly any leaders were listed. They should all be there now. Added Pitboss 21 to the sheet. I see someone had fun with Pitboss 20. ![]() Created a separate "Misc Pitboss" section so that Alae PB1 could be listed without mucking up the numbering system. (Also leaves room for writing up any Alae sequels or other random Pitboss games between friends that don't belong on the main page.) Awaiting a proper write-up for Alae PB1 from someone familiar with the game. ![]() (June 19th, 2014, 02:52)Cheater Hater Wrote: Couldn't you just split the cell into 2 columns?
