PBEM32! Tech Thread

I'm kinda holding out hope that everyone will settle down (and/or we can limit dropouts to 1 and get 1 replacement) and we'll find a way to play on... But if I'm outvoted then such is life. I like my position in this game and I think the mid to late game would be interesting. My position is inferior to Serdoa's, but it's a competitive one should a few things fall into place.

1.) I read parts of scooters thread now, so you can start searching a replacement. Or not, I don't care.

2.) You are a .... scooter. Lewwyn at least has the balls to tell me that he doesn't trust me. You instead state in your thread that you have no proof that I am cheating at all and to the opposite even have explanations which make sense (as you yourself admit), but that doesn't stop you to ask all lurkers to keep an eye on my games to "catch me" cheating. Quite honestly, if that is not defamation, I don't know what is.

Also I'm not sure what to think about you bringing now up games which were played months ago as "proof" that I could be cheating. Of course without any single actual evidence but just with the general statement that there happened "suspicious" things. Why don't ask back then? Because I might have been able to explain all those "strange" things as easy as I was able to in this game?

2.5) And the worst part about it all is that you openly discussed with Lewwyn by chat happenings in this game, exchanging intel, despite it being a no-diplo game. But I am the one not playing according to the rules rolleye

3.) Commodore, thinking about your sentence, I guess you referenced PBEM34. At least I think the map is from you and I did move there, so that seems to make sense. I'll not explain my actions there as well now, but suffice to say that I yet have to find how that is a better spot or was worth moving. But I guess everything can be construed in the right way if one is just trying long enough.

Forgive me for actually wanting to play the game out. Usually it's much calmer to have that discussion once the game is over. Unfortunately, we've forced this discussion now because your phantom friend passed you info from our threads. I'm pretty unhappy that this game is about to die because I was too transparent with my thread updating.

Also, do you really want me to go through and detail all the amazing luck you've had in every game you've played and all the times in which suspicious things have popped up? I've been in a lot of games with you. I've ALWAYS given you the benefit of the doubt, but I mean come on, when 3 of your 4 opponents independently raised their eyebrows at your actions here at different times (unless Brian has something he hasn't chimed in about)... Not sure what else to conclude other than let's keep an eye on things. I was hoping to not submarine the game like you and Lewwyn did by keeping oddities private until after the game when they could possibly be explained. I even said that specifically. Whatever.

Game was over by that point. I avoided this discussion as long as I could, but I didn't chat with Lewwyn until he specifically said he wasn't playing anymore. Plus I wasn't hiding it - I put it in my thread so that your friend could inform you anyways.

I thought about actually replying to what you wrote, but I don't feel like wasting time. You've decided that you want to win this game and when you realized you won't, started to call me cheater. 'nuff said.

Fuck it.

Yeah, what does that mean? I skimmed your thread since yesterday and I guess I found your "evidence". So, lets run through what all of you state:

1.) scooter: "Serdoa snagged TGL from me, he must be reading my thread". Well, guess what, you first "explained" your TGL-plan (meaning you mentioned that you are soon starting to build it) with your T54-report. I started TGL at T54 and I play before you. You hadn't fucking mentioned it at the time I started it. It seems I'm not even reading your thread, I am also travelling back in time afterwards to correct my actions. THATS what I call cheating, ey!

2.) Commodore: "Serdoa made an attack he never should made." Seven explained in the lurker-thread why I would have been even dumb from me NOT making that attack.

3.) Lewwyn: "Serdoa should have attacked with his Chariot right away because I brought in another unit the next turn." I couldn't know there was a spear on a galley - I didn't even know where exactly his galley was as it was all happening in the fog. And therefore not attacking at that turn made sense imo.

So yeah, you all 3 raised your eyebrows. Then you get the reasons you present to raise your eyebrows disproved. And what do you do? You use your raising of the eyebrows as new evidence that I am cheating! Thats ridiculous...

Has anyone ever played single player before? Combat II spear losing to chariot (<2% chance for chariot to win). Warrior losing to barb animal at <1% odds. At least 10 garbage outcomes every single game. If anybody is cheating it is the poorly programmed rng (speciality of FAILaxis).

Oh, that was merely as things stood pre-emo. Scooter was certainly massively advantaged by Serdoa shooting his bolt off a bit early.

Who cares Krill? I certainly am not. Especially after finding more and more evidence that I was not the one not playing to the rules. Btw thanks for telling scooter that he should pick Joao AFTER you got full map knowledge AND simmed out that he would be the best leader for this game.
