Kathlete have a really nice core and are first to currency. They'll be the new runaway pretty soon.
I have to run.

As I've said in the Spullla thread. Reloads should be for technical reasons or break of the rules. Other things are the responsibility of the player to play their turn, everybody knows things are final so be careful. I think it's bad form to ask another player for a reload because you made a mistake, that puts them in a very awkward position in a case like this.

Edt for more ellaborate: Whosit knew he had OB with India as he had an Indian Warrior walking his lands. He even decided to not close borders as to not give a hint of his intentions. It were his on sneaky ways that cought him here so I really don't think that he deserves a reload. Can you imagine the storm that would hit if Spulla allowed the reload and then found out that nugget of info?

This is my major fear. My choice of words early may not have been as accurate as I wished (may I reload this forum to when I made it and edit it? ). I mentioned 'poor faith' only because it would be a show of good faith to let it be reloaded and would avoid any further arguments.
I just hope this stays between Whosit and Speaker, if the rest of the CoW especially Jowy get involved, then there could be fireworks and 'I'll quit if you don't reload' and 'I'll quit if you do' ad infinitum.
They are within their rights to refuse a reload and it was a mistake. My team in PB3 made a mis-move (albeit without such huge consequences as this one) and although we initially asked for a reload, we discussed it with each other and withdrew it and accepted it as our move.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing - they just need to get Monarchy and then they'll be rocking. I wonder when the other CoW teams will start to realize this. The Great Lighthouse should ring some warning bells at the very least.

Even when the rest of the CoW DOES realize how Kathlete have positioned themselves, Whosit and Jowy would have to break their alliance to do anything about it. And they're the only ones who could pose a real threat. It's not like Dantski and Nakor will be able to attack Ottoman territory across the outer sea without horribly exposing themselves to counterattack. The Inca are probably in the best position to hurt Kathlete, but they've already got Whosit to the south thirsting for their blood.
Kathlete really have done exceptional diplomacy here.
Edit: Assuming, of course, that India doesn't survive in a position to deal with the Ottomans themselves.
And many thanks for the warm welcome!

FWIW, I think that the argument of misunderstanding game mechanics v misclick argument kinda misses the point. It shouldn't be one rule for if you understand the game, and one rule if you don't, or that you can hide behind an unprovable excuse "it was a misclick, I swear, what I meant to do was "
I think that allowing reloads for anything other than technical issues is a can of worms, so I'm going to stick to that. And if a technical issue occurs during some important phase of the game like combat, well, cross that bridge when we come to it.
Ironically IMO, I kinda think that with all of those axes in F-burg, and Spullla about to lose their copper on top of their horse, they may not have enough units to deal with a Dantski/Nakor/Whosit stack if they isolate F-burg by cutting the roads. This could be a blessing in disguise if they plan for the new situation.

Call me cynical, but could this have been an attempt by Whosit to get out of a war which he has comparatively little to gain compared to fighting the Inca as it seems he would like to do?

Could it have been in some alternate reality? Sure. Was it? No. Nor would it make much sense.
btw, good call Krill and obviously I agree with your stance on it.

Rowain Wrote:Nope at first it is a decision of Sulllla & Speaker as Whosit has already declared that he will live with his mistake if he has to. Only when Sullla/Speaker leave the decision in Krill hands it becomes his task as mediator.
I think Krill should only become involved if it is absolutly neccessary and not on every little discussion.
I definitely don't agree with this either. It wasn't really Sullla's decision nor should it have been. There are a lot of other players in the this game that reloading effects one way or another. They should not be subjected to a reload unless it's required (technical reasons or rule break) nor should they be called to publicly state whether they think there should be one as that can change attitudes in game.
