If I were India, I would semi bluff at two, and if COW calls it by refusing to hang Jowy out to dry, India could essentially say, "ok, take it or leave it." in regards to their offer, as staying at war with the others posses
no huge cost to them now.
That, or I'd say we will negotiate peace on a civ by civ basis to see if the COW could be split up diplomatically.

If they don't sign peace they can most likly take Jowy out or at least make him a complete non-power.
OTOH delaying their rebuilding and risking to lose several units more (Those Praets are still dangerous) holds the danger that the Inkas can become a real risk for an indian victory.

but it will also give them room to expand without upsetting Dantski, keeping 1 side potetialy on-side for a reasonable length of time, or at the least making a decent buffer zone for agression from HRE/Rome in the future

All things being equal, there is no way that the CoW can support Jowy unless they suddenly discover flight and start airlifting units or something..

Personally, if I were in their shoes, I'd demand reparations (a Settler from each CoW member, maybe?) and march north if I didn't get them. The balance of power is currently drastically in India's favor, so even with the Praets they should be able to raze at at least a couple Greek cities.
Finish the job with Knights, sure, but why give up the current window to dish out some major damage?

I think the Spulllan idea of a staggered NAP peace deal is interesting... wonder if the CoW would go for that? Kinda hanging Jowy out to dry?
If I were them I'd probably want to make an example. Kill Greece whilst razing the cities - generally 'sowing salt'... the full on Carthage treatment. Cost a few hundred hammers in resettlers, but (IIRC, Spullla feels) some of the cities are badly placed and the 'don't mess with us' message might be worth it?

It is rather hilarious that Jowy is now ready to do a volte face, let bygones be bygones, and suddenly join with India to attack Danski. I sure don't see much honor in that.
I smell desperation.
If I were Speaker/Sullla, I think I'd at least cripple Greece before agreeing to any truce.

This. HR & Slavery is overrated, because you actually need 2 units for every slave if you plan on using the units offensively. That then crashes your slider and you can't tech unless you have good sources of gold income (not commerce) because otherwise the Academy is no longer in use.

I worry, if jowy is put into the position that he feels he is "forced" to gift his citys to athlete then the resulting accusations of gamesmanship or lack therof will distroy this game and prevent what looks like a really entertaining game from reaching it's conclusion.

If the COW agrees to staggered truces, they should try to get the NAPs of the teams further away to expire first, otherwise Jowy will be toast!
