RBP2 Lurker Discussion Thread - No Players!

Wow.... Second one to guess the map correctly so early...

LiPing Wrote:He is frustrating, and I am sick of this. Can we just play CTON or Always War next time?

I don't want to concede a whole strip running N-S because after looking at a lot of map scripts, I am thinking this may be a Donut, that I am at the SE point of, and that the natural distribution would be to cut 'slices' towards the middle, so I would end up seriously down in land area from a straight N/S cut. The exposed coastline and the snowy trees with the huge amount of grassland looks about right, although there is that weird looking grassland forest, and grassland to the SE of my starting spot, and they don't fit, unless it's some gimmick where it's been drawn in and Iron is over there... or something. Other things I am thinking of are a weird Inland sea, with a lot of editing, or an Arboria with a lot of snowy trees edited in... but I'm leaning towards saying that the simple solution is probably the most likely (Occam's Razor).

I wonder when the religions will be founded. Nobody seems to be prioritizing them. When will the players realize? Past a certain point people tend to think: Well if I start it now I'll surely be beaten anyway...

Amazing how Greece and India managed to get their map communication wrong from the get-go. I don't think it was intentional, just people tend to word their descriptions ambiguously. But I can't see it building trust lol

How the well Linping figured the map, with her current map knowledgerolleye.

Honestly, this isn't the first time this map has been used in this manner...Sullla could have figured it out from what I've designed before.

I'm happier with the fact that he got LiPings' tech wrong though.

Also at somepoint Sullla may learn that border agreements are useful. First person to mention why get a prize wink

If you want to go and 'colonise' central island and outer island, you better have a deal with (at least one of) your neighbours otherwise you might have to many fronts to defend.

Well, if your military consists of one warrior and your neighbour is beelining skirmishers, friendly relations might be useful, but I'm not sure if that's what you're getting at, Krill?

@Jabah, a border agreement (settling agreement in my mind) doesn't really secure a front, imho. A NAP would.

I also can see that the closest (and only) GOLD ressource is (more or less) 11E from India starting position while being 12S from Egypt...

It's looking like LiPing's plan to bamboozle the opposition with her tech choices has paid off; looks like everyone who's watching the demographics has pegged her tech as Agriculture, rather than Hunting. Can she keep it up?
