With Pin completing Collosus in Staunton he will probably pop borders 4 or so turns earlier, but I'm less convinced he is going to bulb Machinery and may just rush another wonder in Staunton and try to take control of first ring borders at Rhubarb. Not convinced he can make that work unless he can take SoZ and that means he has to tech Aesthetics. I can afford to do that, he can't.

Question for lurkers: do monuments provided by Henge double in culture after 1000 years?

No, because they were never built, and their existence is dependent on the wonder: They cease to exist completely when Stonehenge is lost or goes obsolete. If a city already had a (finished) monument when Stonehenge finished though, that monument does double in culture after 1000 years and remains in place after Stonehenge stops working.

Thank you, and thank Soren and Moose for small mercies. But on reflection it doesnt help me because Pin used a monument as his first build to pop borders and he built it early. It already doubled by the point Staunton hit third ring cilture. That should buy me a turn on Staunton popping fourth ring borders.
Henge was built 1200BC so doubles at 200BC, which I believe is T107.
Borders popped at 100 culture T75 and the city was making 10cpt so the latest it would hit fourth ring is T115.
Barracks was built at some point but i dont have an exact tuen and Collosus finished T93, with between 180 and 190 extra culture accumulated, so call it 290. Then the city makes 17 culture per turn.
So assuming no more cultural buildings ie a library (which at 2 cpt barely makes a turn difference), that is a further 13 turns to pop borders so T106, give or take a turn, to hit fourth ring and then Henge doubles for 25cpt into the fourth ring, which is Rhubarbs first ring.
Even with the extra 20 free culture Rhubarb can only make 23 culture into the first ring, 24 with a monument, but by t107 should have a large enough headstart I do not lose the inner ring (23*13=299 culture, borders would pop a further 15 turns after that so Pin would maybe catch up by 30 to 45 culture on the tile then I would outstrip it when borders hit third ring).

Commodore: Ho Ho Ho I have a sword. I have finished this advanced military unit now that you can see the city just to show you how technologically advanced I am.
Krill: Yes Commodore. You are he weakest player in the game, and I know you would have prefered to build a spear but that would not have shown that you had IW and iron, but I tremble before the mighty sword. Oh, I understand better now I look at F4. You have not met Bing so don't have his graphs, even if you know we are at war because I raised a city, you don't know if I have made peace and repositioned to attack you. I'll give you a bit more kudos then.
I'll ignore the issue that two swords would actually take out my front city. I need to get a shock vulture in Cherry, fortification and walls are actually relevant on that front now.
Using additional information available after ending turn:
Currency completes end of turning needing about 62bpt. I can make 117bpt at max research which is overflow of about 55 base bpt, 67 adjusted into Construction which already has 18 beakers invested (total cost 558). Add in the gold tile at Olive and the extra trade route commerce and that is 133 base bpt. Over three turns that is 486 adjusted beakers, plus 18 plus 67 is 571 beakers. Therefore if I can manage the costs for four more turns I can get Construction end of turn 100.
Not sure if I should, or need to, but useful to know. Costs are going to be around 180-190 for four turns of max research. I have 139 saved. There will be no capture gold. That means I need to find about 50 gold from wealth builds over three turns.
Cherry can make 30 gold over the three turns, and I should, hopefully, be able to turn the slider down slightly on the last turn. Olive and Pomegranate make 11 hammers between them so they can cover the rest as well, so this is definitely possible.
However, the saving rate should increase close to +30 gpt at max tax by T98 (gold tile and trade routes). So given the extra turn of saving gold still allows scientists to make beakers (another 45 beakers from 6 scientists), I should be able to get Construction on T101 without that rigmarole. More likely to run breakeven so the spike doesn't look so horrific.

Tarkeel, no issues with the subbing, at this point I doubt that spoiler knowledge has any real value in the war theatre.

How long has it been since catapults were a deciding factor in an ancient war? The last I recall of that was PB2. Seems like for ancient war it's just as many HA's as you can build vs spears.

To be fair this is the classical era (HBR and IW are classical era techs, as is Construction), not that these definitions help much. I am surrounded so I have to consider neighbours being opportunistic, and i am planning for Pindicator to bulb Machinery (so a medieval tech). PB2 should be considered as a poorly played game by this point in RBs' history but also doesn't really have any similarities due to diplomacy, the map layout, base BtS and frankly, that map is far greener than this one.
This game should really be compared to PB5 (low food, but not this low and random leaders), PB15 (just a little bit more cramped than this and surrounded, bad leaders) and PB42 (because of how poorly I played that game, it is a good source of learning what not to do).
After Construction, I can slow tech IW and then I have all the units I need to remove Bing from the game efficiently. Catapults to remove the walls defense he puts up (need 6 for bombard plus sacrificial cats) and swords to crack each city. WE and vultures are stack defence. HA pressure from the side and I can use combat workers to keep them ready to run east if I need to defend cities. Then need to keep some cats and slow movers in the east.
I've been thinking how to build the stack and have a few ideas but this probably waits a week because I am still watching Pin and his potential GE bulb and invasion plan (although this is more to see how I can take advantage rather than worried about defence).

PB64 had a lot of cat action although there were so many wars in that one I'm struggling to remember how big they were in the classical.
