I need a city naming theme. How many characters can the city names be?

Quick though about the start: does killing barbs give me culture? Discussion in pbem about builder or settler first, after military unit seemed to point that if settler was viable it was better. If I have enough culture, the inspiration for the builder production card bearing civic-tech-monstrosity seems can fuck off and just get it he hard way.

Next question, slinger, warrior or scout first? If no huts, is warrior the better choice and hope barbs are around to beat up?

How about trees, but use the Latin names, and then refer to everything by abbreviations?

I suggest a scout first.  You'll want to find out what (and who) is around you, particularly with Rome in the game.  A warrior is best to beat up barbs after Code of Laws completes and the  +5 strength vs barbarian card is slotted.  The settler vs. builder discussion must have happened in PBEM 3.  It's in the distant past but if you're going to discuss stuff from that game please spoiler it for the time being so I don't read it.

Killing any enemy unit will give you culture equal to half the unit's base strength.
