The nice thing about a turn-a-day pace is that it gives you tune to contemplate your moves and to let emotional reactions fade with time. So yes, dtay is being a prick by selling in my face, and there will be an appropriate response. But that isn't what I conveyed in my reactionary gif in yesterday's report.
Luckily the Internet has tons of these things

Turn 107
Say hello to City 13!
The Landing at White Falls was one of the more aggravating SP missions in Myth 2 (especially on legendary difficulty), and I'm hoping this city can be just as strong a bulwark if it should ever need to be. For now, it's pretty much free to plant it, economically speaking. 13 cities also puts me only 2 behind Fintourist, and 3 behind Dtay, who are tops in the Known World.
I have one more settler in production, which I think needs to go to the east to capture a nice Banana/Sheep/Fish spot before dtay tries to snipe it, and after that I will slowly fill in the 3 spots I have remaining.
Cheater Hater offered me OB today, and when I looked at my abundance of Open Borders granted, I realized there was room to cut back. It was kind of easy to decide who got the short straw there:
I haven't looked at my gpt at 100% tax, but I think it's somewhat smaller than this. No need for me to help them any further.
Operation Heartburn will have to wait a little; there's still some much-needed development work to be done. I've talked about religion and the plan to pop a mixed GP/GM out of Tyr.
Well, today I did a little calucalting and realized that if I swap to Priesthood and 1-turn it now, I can triple whip a temple in Tyr in 2 turns and hire a priest straight away. Thanks to a lucky RNG roll, Hinduism has spread there of its own accord and I don't need to tech Meditation or Monotheism first to do the dirty work of building a missionary. This will speed up my first GP by four turns, and up the priest chance by ~10% (from 60% to ~70%). So I did all that this turn.
I also took the capital off of Wealth to finish its barracks. We're going to want units again soon.

All right folks! One midterm down, one to go! I was going to do homework tonight and then I opened a beer, and that turned into a couple beers with my cousins, and now I'm writing my civ report instead. So you see, everybody wins
Turn 110
Been a few turns! Really, the only thing that's been happening is this:
choppy choppy!
choppy then whippy!
more choppy choppy!
I need 11 libraries to get the AMAZING quest reward of +1bpt. Well, that and the doubly amazing quest reward of HAVING ELEVEN FREAKING LIBRARIES! Here's my city list:
Aside from that, religion is my other big story. First off, Cyneheard has earned Best Buddy For Life status by adopting Hinduism. I'm sure he isn't doing it for my benefit, but I look out for my brothers in the faith. He can be the Commodore to my Scoopin, PB13 edition, if he chooses to go that route. Or if he attacks then he can be the Commodore to my Scoopin, PB8 edition.
And while that wonderful religion spreads, I come through on a plan to reap the benefits of that fruit:
I triple-whipped that temple last turn, and now we're hiring a priest. Great person incoming end of t116

And what if he goes and razes cities of a third party on the other side of your empire?

If that happens then I gift him luxuries for the rest of the game!
Edit: I mean, we're talking BFF status if he goes and does something like that

Here's a math problem for all the lurkers:
What is the minimum number of catapults needed to give followup sword attackers a reasonably good chance of success in mop up? Let's say 80% odds is what I'm shooting for and that there are 10 archers and 1 axe on defense.
Currently noodling over this. And yes I could just load it up in wb but 1) I hate the wb interface for adding large amounts of units, and 2) this way is more fun to figure out

Oh yeah, Barry is off limits. Anybody who razes Barry's last city loses serious BFF points.
Also, reading up on Bernoulli functions to solve my catapult problem. Everything I know about statistics I learned via civ

So I found that a catapult will do 12 damage to an archer on each collateral hit. 14 damage is that's a barrage catapult, but that doesn't matter so much. What does matter is if the attacking sword is promoted or not (Combat-1 and CityRaider-1 are about equal for the situation). A CR sword against a 100hp archer in 40% cultural defense will get ~63% chance to win. Take that archer down to 88hp and the odds jump up to 80%. So I need enough catapults to get at least 1 collateral hit on every archer. And I need to make swords in cities with barracks instead of all these 0xp ones I have running around.
The next big breakpoint is dropping the archer to 72hp (2 hits with barrage-promoted catapults). That puts an unpromoted sword at 90% and a promoted sword at 96%.
