MH's defense was better than Nakor and worse than Dhal, from what I can tell. Dhal tried to defend, but he's new and made some mistakes. MH tried to defend halfheartedly, and made more and worse mistakes than Dhal. Nakor barely tried at all. Bacchus may have made some mistakes, but the larger factor there was simply that there was really nothing he could have done due to his tech and production disadvantages compared to Plako. Of them all, Suttree did the best job of being thorny.

i like your updates. I am especially interested in the info you are able to gather about other empires (such as Scooter) with good detail, and predict their chances.

Like others said, we cant really reply to much of it, but it's all good stuff! thumbsup

Yeah, I even wish Nakor had done more to defend, and I was the one who got all the benefits. But when I was playing I wasn't going to not take advantage of a gift like that.

The main mistake I made was going for Civil Service before Feudalism, misjudging the time before Plako would attack. I got Feudalism on the turn war was declared. The four turns that CS took would have meant at least a dozen longbows in both front cities and a much slower start to the war, rather than the 4-5 longbows per city that ended up being the case.

As it was, I never got many longbows at once, pretty much just whipping every city every other turn. Add in the awkward long shape of my empire, which was by necessity, and there you have it.

I dont want to critcise anyone, everyone plays at his level and i am realy soryy that i amlike this: frustrated when i see other get easy stuff , but i have to remeber is a game and play for fun.

This turn we are at 1977 mfg so next turn will have rairoad few coal plants finishing so will beat 2k mark so that woukd be double then the next.
What lewwyn managed is to prevent scooter industrialization for like 4-5 turns,i supose i am happy with that.

Next turn big turn with naps expering and need to get new ones , will start on artilery which will take like 4 turns i think and after 4-5 more on combustion i will have my ddestroyers, to bad i didnt cheked what i need for blitz , need combat 3 so i merged my general in wrong city trying to get 2 cities which get me 10 experience, oh well, i will reaserch fascism after i finish hoping to get one and for sure will get some more generals fighting.

Last turn i seen someone is blokading one of wlp cities so i sold him an aerhip for like 160 gold , which isvery adavatageous for me i get more gold then buildidng wealth and very good for him as he has alot of time to get there and he can destroy the blocade.

This is one of thisngs which i considerering to do,in my coastal cities with 150% water units buildings at 40 base production i can get 2 turns destroyers so i will try to sell some of those to WLP for like 500 gold.I think is a prety good deal for him and for me as well as i will can reasearch at full steam just using 2-3 cities to build this units and sell to him.And another davantage would be if he gets like 10-15 destroyers from he could defend agains comodore agresion.

i could sent to ichabod as well but he seems aout of game....

I have some time and game paused. so i will do a samll update.

1.I decided to conquer azza.I know is strange and maybe stupid, but i can take cities from there.I got city visibility on 3 turns and he has some good land.Anyway i decided i keep just 1 comece city there and farm workshop everithing what i manage to get.
2.Game sitution is changing so fast for example plako put a turn in Al and changed to RR so he is realy afraid on me , i had city visibility but i losted after, this is good someway he invest in techs to defend against me.
3.Scooter beeing out of game practicaly loosing that city was stupid ,and he after didnt updated so i think he will finish under Finhary if the game is not called in like 40 turns.
4.before loosinng city visibility i seen 2 great people of plako and i think he can get another gp in 5-6 turns so there will became the monster ga.With 50 cities and on, but dont know if he will catch up the diference.All i need is more land to get my mfg to 4-5 k turn so i can get crazy number of units,and i will stop researching after industrilalism and get hundresd of units out.
5.here at RB we miss alot by not playing this era, here the most dramatical changes can take place or we dont lplay cause we dont like surprisez?

How do you sell units? Gift them and then demand gold?

I think we don't play modern warfare much precisely because changes can happen so quickly. Fighting finally favors the attacker, not the defender at tech parity. But most fights are not between equals. They are between a strong, advanced civ over a weaker civ who can only get steamrolled. The outcome in a fight is seldom in doubt and moving tons of units gets tedious. Adding to that, as the leader mops up weaker civs, the lead gets larger. There is always the potential for a surprise, come from behind fight that could be successful, but this age can be quite tedious and not fun, especially if you aren't leading the game. This is perhaps as responsible as anything else for games being called.

I think that this game is unique out of all of the games on RB in that it managed to reach this era without any single civ having multiple advantages in land, cities, pop tech and power. That's down to the map, the number of players, the mod, and player skill levels.

Was a litle bit my fault too , on that bad atack on finhary which put me like an era behind otherwise i think i could had conquered them or at least get faster big tech adavantage(i could had won easily both comunism and phisics) and be faster like 10 turns to asembely line.I should ask for a reload...lol
