Thanks jojo. I'm pretty sure that I specified that peace time turn splits are clock games in that thread, if they disagree I wish they'd post there and explain why I'm wrong...

I completely forgot that MoM city has no granary. cry MoM delayed by a turn, again. At this rate I probably deserve to lose it. banghead Also

Ok maybe planting 1E would have been better. Way better, if only for strategic reasons. But good news is, dye is plantationed and road will follow in 2t.

So are you going for the hammer-heavy 1-pop whip (or is it too late for that?) or food-heavy 2-pop whip?

Krill: I'd say if they wanted to maintain a turn split they should stay properly at war. By your logic you could maintain a turn split for the whole game unless you have 10 turns of enforced peace. But this game is winding me up anyway so I'm probably just in a bad mood.

The 2pop whip is delayed by only one turn thanks to the huge food output, going hammer heavy now can't beat that.

On turn splits, it's generally best to IMO.

Consider that most games aim to have a 24 hour turn timer. Most people try to have one turn window per day that they can play the turn in. That window doesn't generally vary by more than a few hours (this doesn't hold for shift workers like myself, but it is still possible to find a time you can generally stick to). If the turn rolls at the same time every day, then everyone will automatically fall into a set play order anyway, it takes additional work to play turns outside the play window.

Unfortunately, if there is a ceasefire signed then it still means that by playing before and after someone then you are going to cause a double move to occur at some point.

All is not lost ! MoM in 2, it's either going to be a huge load of cash to fund my research into a strong economy or MoM. If I hadn't burned 12 forests and lost a worker/spear over the wonder I'd welcome the cash.

Plan is for the galleys to move 2SW next turn, then SW W turn 104. I saw 1 galley in the area, so he might try a 2vs1 attack, it would be pretty risky for him though because he'd be better off leaving it SE of the city, if it is I'll reassess. Basically if it's razeable with 2 axes I'll do it using the other galley (emptied obviously) as arrow fodder, if I find that it isn't I'll quickly land my troops on the 6b tile and settle it. At least I'll get gems this way.

Also disregard the 100% research, I'm keeping it at 0% in case someone researches it in the meantime and gives me KTB. And I didn't mention I hooked the dye this turn, hurray !

Edit : I used to like Dreylin's method for naming his workers using binaries, but naming the stolen worker "Adrien's" is provocation ! They shall die for this infamy hammer

Ha! hammer

Nice contingency plan. Do you think his Vikingness will cause any issues for you now or down the line?
