They were also closer to these cities when they were Indian, so they accumulated much more Indian culture than other tiles. At least, that's my explanation. They are 50 / 49 my way now, so they should flip to me next turn.

ah yes, probably...I was confused because the non-flipped tiles were on opposite sides of the city. culture is wierd, I don't really get it wink

So, this is a very awkward situation. I planned to kill Greenline this turn (to help with unhappiness) but for this I need to play after him because I was second previous turn. Typically he plays very early in the turn but now it's been 12 hours since the turn rolled and he did not play. Not sure what to do, I would really prefer to play before Mig's window to speed things up and I play looong turns now. And it's not that it is completely irrelevant because I suppose, greenline might be able to slow me down by a turn if he really tries.

Would it be kosher if I play most of my turn before him then, after he plays, kill him and do all related stuff? I don't see how I can gain any advantage by doing this but not sure about appearances.

Oh just put him out of his misery if he was dying this turn it doesn't exactly make any difference.

The awkward thing is, I am not sure he is dying this turn whatever he does. He has lots of wooden ships in the area, theoretically, he can position them in such a way that he will delay me by a turn because I would not be able to fight through all his bodies. I am like 90 percent sure he cannot do this but not 100 percent sure.

Ok, I decided I can at least log in to look around - and immediately discovered that the situation is even more complex than I thought.

It turned out Mig declared on Greenline and has units in the area. The proper turn-order between us is Greenline -> Me -> Mig and this is important. For example, I am going to attack Mig's destroyer and Greenline, theoretically, can suicide some Caravels into it and soften it.
I thought about it a lot and decided that I will not declare on Greenline and instead spend this turn killing Mig's units in the area. The war with Greenline will be next turn and as I will now play before him, we won't have the same situation again.

...scratch that, I cannot kill Mig's units because his Destroyer is inside Greenline's territory and I don't have open borders. No, it's becoming too complicated, we need to wait for Greenline. I'll send him PM.

Sent Greenline the following:

"High, Mig declared war on you in PB74 and the proper turn order needs to be you -> me -> Mig as I played most of my turn (including some unit movements in your neighborhood) after you on the previous turn. I cannot play before you as my actions depend on how you respond to Mig, so can you tell me when you will be available to play your turn? If it's not soon, will it be fine for you if I play the part of my turn unrelated to our northern situation before you?"

Really annoying, for the most of the game he played almost immediately after the turn rolled. He decided to choose this one instance to procrastinate...
