I'd probably just get another chariot and keep 2 stacks of 2 chariots in their land and stop Byz from growing. Then focus on growth, and aim to return with a stack of cats and HA later on. Definitely need to get some growth and cottages going.

I think that the Koreans are too preoccupied with surviving and not thinking about how to leverage that. Not that they can get anything other than sympathy really. Mortius is dead, IKZ haven't been on the radar since they killed Mortius, HRE is fighting a proxy war using Korea.

I'm not sure who they're going to get much out of by complaining to at present.

A&K already stuck their neck out for them, and they are rather busy with their own war on the on the other side of the world. Complaining further to the people who brokered (even temporary) peace for them would probably sound rather ungrateful.

HRE is aware of the situation, and they have tried to leverage it with them. I'm sure they will continue trying to leverage the situation with them as much as possible. HRE was considering propping them up somewhat, but seems to have decided that they are likely toast, and it would be throwing good axes after bad.

They could trumpet Whosit's evil NAP breakage to Jowy, and they discussed doing it in game with him. Not sure if they did or didn't do so, but, again, Greece is a long way away...

That's everyone they know. They have not yet Met India, Mail, Byzantium, or Inca, so they can't really complain about him to those folks yet.

If, later on, a situation arises where they can try to leverage the NAP break against Rome, they probably will do so. Right now, there just doesn't seem to be much opportunity for them to do so.

Point taken on Korea lacking the contacts to complain. But they could ask their neighbours to forward the whining. wink
I guess my main surprise is Korea dealing so rationally with their situation...

It looks like Rome is trying to do lot of things at the same time. He is doing half development and half war. I think in the end he will not achieve anything. I don’t understand why he can’t whip/chop a Praet army. By the time Rome attacks Korea, they would have Copper. What are the odd for Axe vs Praets while Axe is defending with 40% city bonus?

Since the Preat will be C1Shock, and the axe with 25% fortification, it will be roughly 50-50 I think for unpromoted axes.

I agree. Rome needs to make a plan and stick to it, instaed of doing multiple things half hearted. Resigning peace compounded the problems. It will be interesting to see the long term results

Quote:I see the early land-grab move all the time in the non-ladder MP games I play. Players who are less experienced in MP are obsessed with sealing off borders, and run their 2nd or 3rd city way up in their opponent's face, without proper defense, and waste tons of worker turns getting in position...

I hope the dramatic irony won't be lost on Byzantium after this game is over and they get to read the other threads. lol

@Dazed - As speculation is fun: I think the long term results will be a super powered expansive/organized IKZ with tons of land.

I can definitely see that. I think a lot will also depend on if India's neighbors are able to effectively surprise them with an attack. If not, I still anticipate an Indian victory in the end.

I don't really see Dantski + Jowry working out to kill Spullla, I think the time is nearly past for attacking them. Their economic advantage is already kicking in and they are starting to run away. They could just whip out a defense out of thin air and then just let their production and shorter supply lines win the war. Plus most importantly their C&D will see it coming unless Dantski + Jowry could trick them into thinking that they are going to attack their neighbors or they break their NAPs.

My question is since I don't lurk IKZ, what are they doing? They are last in score but can pretty much do a farmer's gambit with their neighors occupied/dead/too far away.
