Saying CHA/AGR won PBEM63 instead of SEV/TBS is not really fair. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions from that game alone.
Totally agreed about that map being very appropriate to CHA, though. That's why I think CHA is a badly designed trait; it's too good/too bad based on the map, way more than most of the other traits.

My recollection of my opinion of the state of balance was I was thinking that Communism should not have a great spy, and state property should only give -50% distance maintenance instead of -100%. AGR was worth keeping an eye on but I'm not convinced it's overpowered yet. I thought FIN was underpowered and needed a boost, but I hadn't figured out what would be a good boost for it. Finally, Colossus not obsoleting was a change (requested by Mackoti) that I was tentatively planning to add the next time I did a new version.
Other than figuring out FIN, these are all just XML changes, so it wouldn't be a big deal to make these changes if you guys want that.

I didn't say they won because of Cha/Agr, they absolutely won because they played insanely well - pushing their bonuses to their limits and figuring out what technological edge they needed to crush their opponents. But I mean, come on, did you see the CY chart in that game? Note that this is from *before* they expanded via conquest, so this is showing how big they were with roughly the same land as others!
I agree the PBEM63 game was a bit of a perfect storm for Boudica, but I just feel uncomfortable with a leader potentially able to snowball that hard. But, if others would rather we not have bans, I'm fine with that.

Those changes sound fine to me; buffing Colossus is a bit of a buff to Fin so maybe that's enough?
p.s. I'll ask Xenu to move this thread back in the meantime so that we have a better chance to find more players!

Oh, I forgot to make that easy-click tool for you Krill. Let me do that right now...
What size are you making the map for btw, 9 or 10?

Seven's changes sound good to me, if people want to just play with the current 1.3 version I'm happy too.

You need to step up recruitment then!
Also, I assume Snake Pick? (I don't think I saw it mentioned anywhere...)

Yeah, I've started thinking about how to design the map, but I'm not going to start clicking in world builder on a 9 player map design until someone else signs up.
With 8 players, I've already got something in mind.

Fair enough... I did try sending out some PMs, but the general response I got was that everybody's already playing in a lot of games at the moment. Let's go with 8 I suppose.
And yeah, snake pick.
