2 Rooms and a Boom: Lurker Thread [NO PLAYERS]

I remember the WW game I played in which could have been named "2 vanilla villagers and 12 special roles" including the infamous role confirmation on death. A 50/50 chance would have actually been nice...
It's probably best to wait for the post mortem discussion to see if the setup has to be tweaked or if the game simply doesn't work very well in the forum environment.

That's a good point, I wonder if holding back information longer makes the game more interesting. Right now, it is rather unfortunate that the major focus seems to be the grey players.

Which game was this, and what was wrong with that setup?

On topic: I do think this game could potentially hold a certain appeal, similar to "assassin in the palace". But it seems to have taken a less interesting direction in this instance, at least. Also, it seems like half the players are no longer really playing at all, and just deferring to their team's most vocal players, which is a bit lame. In the end though, all that matters is if the players are having fun. Maybe they are, and it's just the lurking experience that is less engaging.
If you know what I mean.

Well I still blame the lack of PMs. If players could PM they wouldn't have reveal spammed as much and would be able to coordinate with their team better.

That certainly wouldn't improve the lurker experience.

I think the gameplay would be pretty weird, too. The only thing you'd ever see in the public thread would be reveal offers. Why would you ever share any other information with the public, when you could just distribute it to your trusted circle instead.

(I know Brick was aiming for a middle ground with limitations on PM frequencies and such. I think that's quite unsatisfactory, too.)

Would you be able to PM across rooms, btw? I guess not, since that would probably break things, too.
If you know what I mean.

Well I'm not saying it would be better for lurkers (but I don't see why PMs couldn't be made public). But I think it would make for a better game.

I'll have more to say when the game is over or at least when I'm not on my ipad, but general comments on what you all are saying: yes there is more king making than intended, but this is going well overall in my opinion, this game is incredibly basic for how this game could run, similar to a WW Mae with just seer, doc, and void wolf, and as such is similarly solvable. I wouldn't wanna introduce an entire new community to a WW game where everyone has wildly powerful and different and complicated roles, so I went the same here.but now that people are familiar with basic mechanics, they would be better suited to handle more complex role workings and such.

If I get to run another game I would like to include more interesting and deep roles, which would almost certainly break up the speediness to reveal and determination of the game state early, and maybe a Limited PM system (where for lurker benefit, I could copy/paste all PMs into a lurker QT that I only give personally to interested parties so its follow able.)

TL;DR: yes issues I wanna fix, but going well and about how I would expect.

So who's got the majority in the control room right now? Looks like they win.

Why are people voting Rowain? Why not make a blue/red pact to boot Rowain from the room? Just for fun, if nothing else. smile
If you know what I mean.

I'll second Rowain: Proof it! lol

I'm going to laugh if Rowain's insistence on screwing pindicator over causes him to lose.
