Where's the fun in playing games with other people watching if you can't express your highs and lows to them, that's what I think! Losing your shit over a game is just as much of a stress release as frolicking about it is!

I don't think you should worry at all about expressing yourself in your own spoiler thread. It's what it's for, and if blowing off frustration helps keep you interested in the game then rant away. It's not like anyone is being forced to read it. Also, I very much approve of your new elven avatar Gaspar. Surely invoking the spirit of FFH PBEM VII will bring you fortune and certain victory .

I can't tell if you know where his avatar is from, but "certain victory" is not the impression it gives this Hearthstone player.

t90 - Adventure Pitboss 19: Stagnation
Scenario: You inherit a struggling Ottoman Empire, starting in 625BC.
You control twelve cities. The Ottomans rule over less territory than all but 2 other nations.
However, only two of your cities have yet reached the Size 6 threshold.
Additionally, your empire begins with not enough workers and not enough improved plots!
The Ottomans have as yet built relatively few city improvements:
However, they do control an army of 22 units, which might make your borders secure in a normal game without Joao of Mongolia breathing down your neck:
The worst news of all may be that your economy has become mired in stagnation:
The entirety of your budget is being consumed by various maintenance costs. Income is stagnant while costs are growing. Research has ground to a screeching halt.
Good luck, and may whatever deities you believe in have mercy on your soul.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

You know, I'm reminded of what the VP at my old job would say in regards to the competition: Be excellent in one thing and competitive in the others. He was talking competing for market share and not Civ MP, sadly, but I think there's a lot that carries over.
The trick of course is to figure out what the thing you want to be excellent at is...

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of the different ways there are of killing people.
...are we still talking about Civ?
