Well, is there anything that can speed up the game? With current pace we won't be able to finish it by the New Year

I wouldn't mind calling this game so that the active guys can move on to new games that don't have a pause every turn

If we are to speed up the game, either have a promise from Sian he will play each 24 hours, or have him replaced or turned to AI.

I emailed Sian a few days ago asking if he wanted to be replaced and have not heard back from him. I have a few people in the lurker thread who have offered to replace him. I would rather not force a player out, but at this point we've had talk of abandoning the game simply because someone can't play turns in a timely manner. That isn't happening, I would definitely kick someone out before ruining the fun for everyone else.

Sian, if you're paying attention to this thread at all please speak up, or at least reply to the email I sent you. You can't hold this game hostage forever.

Edit: In the event that Sian is still not following the tech thread and makes no improvements to his turn playing pace, do you other players agree to allow a lurker (even if spoiled) to take over Sian's civ? I'm not trying to kick him yet but we're getting close.
