Found Incense. I feel kind of sorry for the resource, as a late access desertbound luxury it always gets put in terrible border regions.

Prediction; I'm entering an (eventual) terrible border region.

I've been away and don't have much time right now. Here's a couple of screenshots to tide you over. I am slowbuilding a workboat. Couldn't really get BW in time to speed it up, and I don't need a warrior quite yet.





My scout has done some barb bashing, he won flawlessly when hidden by jungle and fighting a lion. However, the little blighter got knocked down to 0.6 when I misclicked him onto an oasis next to a wolf. I've moved him to some defensive terrain. I'll probably try to heal him up before continuing some deep scout.

Copper is revealed.




I considered founding my second city on the 3C sign but I'd need AH. My seriously slow techrate and lack of any kind of commerce makes me think that AH before pottery is a seriously bad idea. I'll probably found the city third, there might be some barb dodging before I get copper hooked, but prince level barbs should be easy enough to take care of with warriors. It'll be pure production/able to develop one cottage for the capital, and another few for an eventual Rice/gems commerce city to the north. It's also the closest third city site that I don't need IW to unlock. IW needs to be very soon in the future, picking up some gems will do wonders for my techrate. I'm thinking possibly Pottery->AH->IW, maybe slotting in mysticism if I need to pop borders somewhere. As Spi I'd love to found a religion, but I don't think there are enough viable city sites at my current tech level. Consequently, I can't afford the teching time.




My scout continues to bumble about, failing to meet anyone.

Growth to size 3, and my fish are hooked up. I should have just mined fully rather than just chopped though. I'm going to complete the mine because I don't want to chop any more of my forests and I don't have the wheel yet to road to my next city. The scout found no new pictures or resources and I didn't want to have to pay him his screen time, so he doesn't appear this turn.

I met Zanth. I don't really have too much to say. Just keeping these going to enforce a habit and actually report when interesting decisions come around.




The folks around here get non tropical bacon. I'm pretty jealous, pineapple's have been busy ruining perfectly good ham pizza's for longer than I've been alive. Alas, my dutch citizens will have to grow to love a balance of sweet and salty.
