Since we aren't able to view the other game's threads, can anyone give us an update of how the vets game is going? (i.e what turn it is and the current scores)

We play with the No Score mod
That said, I think it's like T57...does that sound right?

The one thing the NoScore mod does give us, though, is Player Rank in score:
It's T58, after I play as Egypt, 3rd in order:
1st: Cyneheard, Peter of Egypt
2nd: Krill, Darius of Ottomans
3rd: Sunrise, Suleiman of Inca
4th: Darrell, Victoria of Babylon
5th: Kylearan, Catherine of Maya
6th: Whosit, Pacal of China
Note: Ties may or may not exist; it is impossible to tell.

Ahhh... that's what I meant. ;-)
In comparison we are up to Turn 44, and the order:
1st - Kyan, Catherine of Maya
2nd - Strike, Pacal of China
3rd - Jowy, Peter of Egypt
4th - Malakai, Suleiman of Inca
5th - seifer_md, Victoria of Babylon
6th - Cull, Darius of the Ottomans
While Kyan does have a slight lead on the rest, it is otherwise reasonably close still. Speaker must have done a good job balancing the map. None of our positions are really lining up so it doesn't appear to be solely due to good or bad land at the start. =)
EDIT: Actually scratch that. Since I last played the rankings have completely change. We'll just say it's close! =)

Aye, no big lead for me. You all just finished your techs 1 turn later is all.
Dang, we're quite a few turns behind you guys. Since you've passed turn 50, i trust all of the vets have done a lovely T50 report for us to compare after the game?
I'm sure that it'll be a great learning tool for us greens, not to mention interesting for the lurkers.

I'm afraid I need to sit on the turn for a little while longer.

Question for Vets game: I know it is AW, but now that we can't even see the demographics, do we want to relax the no diplomacy rule, or keep it as it is?

I'm not sure I want to change the rule, but I can 100% see where Krill is coming from - not having charts is one thing, but not knowing if you're to power or last is another...it makes the game much more stressful than fun.

TBH, I'm not really fussed, and we shouldn't change the rule unless we all agree to it. But as you said, this isn't what we all wanted either. Which is why I'd consider the change as not all that bad. not like we are going to trade or anything.

I think I wouldn't have participated in this game if I had known beforehand that demographics would be out, but I will play on now of course - it will still be fun, only a little less so. But I'm against diplomacy in this gane and will drop out if it will be allowed. This is not meant to be a threat, but I simply lack the time for something like this and would have to find a replacement player then, sorry.
