I would not say its been consistantly 2 days a turn, i have not played since the 11th (its the 16th now) and am still awaiting my turn. And I still call every 2 days slow :P
Recent Turn history
1st Sep
3rd Sep
6th Sep
8th Sep
11th Sep
Still awaiting next turn
And some turns in the last couple months have taken over a week.
I am sorry Jowy, nothing against you at all, you have always been really quick to play, but i was lead to believe it would be AT LEAST a turn a day when we played maybe faster...that combined with the fact that civ 5 will be out about a year before we finish this game and the fact that diplomacy responses are pretty slow too, its just not what i was expecting, thats why i am offering for someone else to take over my slot

PBEM games will take a long time to play through, and we all knew that Civ5 would come out before we finish this game. Nothing personal against you, but this is exactly what you should have been expecting I dislike the slow pace too, but you really shouldn't have signed up if you weren't committed to play through.

I gotta say the slow pace is killing me too. Signing up I was also under the impression we would get a turn practically every day and we're not seeing anywhere near this. Yes I'm 100% committed to seeing this game through but these lapses cause me to spend less time thinking about this game. My diplomacy becomes slower, I check the turns less frequently, I forget parts of my game plan, and because of all this I feel that this game might not see my full potential (which over the year or so it takes to play is quite disappointing).
My understanding is that Strike is having difficulties playing because his laptop was stolen. My suggested remedy is Strike gets someone to help him out, a partner who can play his turns as necessary. I realise this has been suggested often but really we should finally put this into action.

Like seifer said I want to see this game through as well, but as with him, the pace is making me less likely to check for my turns and making it harder for me to focus on the diplomacy and game plan i would have followed if the game was at a more reasonable pace.
Each time i go to play my turn i find myself wondering what the hell i was planning to do that turn and often i forget things that i wanted to do because of the slow pace.
I am not saying i am dropping out today, i am explaining i have had enough and giving the people involved a chance to come up with ways to improve things before i give up on it.
Like seifer said if the people who are having trouble get people to help them out, like team mates of some kind this should be fixed, these suggestions have been made before but have not been followed through by the people concerned from what i can tell.

PP: As its only one or two people slowing the game down in general, it should be really easy to fix, its not like everyone in the game struggles to play their turns in a timely manner.

Sorry for the delay today, it came at an awful time (7:30AM) for me to be able to play it before work, and Thursdays are my busy day, so I just sent T74 along.
Can we all take posterity shots for T75? 1AD seems like the perfect time to do so.
And to the Green's game: It's not like we've been able to go all that much faster.

Well I got the turn on 16th (yesterday) so as long as I get my next turn by 18th (tomorrow) then I am happy, 2 days is an acceptable pace.

Since we're F9-less:
F2: Financial Advisor
F5: Military
F8: Victory Conditions
That at least nets us some data.
