Civ 6 Release and Update Discussion Thread

Haven't heard anything on World Builder or the base coding (dll?) for modding being released.

There is a Live Stream today to showcase India's new leader and a Governors deep dive at 11am PT/ 2 PM ET / 8 PM CET.

Here is a link to the post at CivFanatics:

I think there will be no worldbuilder release ever for this game.

Just watched the India livestream at minute 16 the devs scout encounters an unescorted settler of course not snatching it.

And of course this is the first time India has a leader which is not Ghandi, one dev says. rolleye

Now if only they knew how to code lol rolleye Seriously the amount of bugs, imbalances and exploits that are still there, and have been since release make this game look more like an impressive overhaul MOD than a finished AAA product...

That's for QA and debuggers, we are developers!

Ugh, that video again. I know they are "only" devs. But if I check out the video on thursday about stellaris I see a dev or game lead who actually knows his own game.

I am not confident this expansion will make CIV VI a better game.

So with the preview build and the first videos out, I have a question. Maybe this was explained and I missed it, I admit I didn't follow this release super closely. But it looks like at the start of the game, you need to earn 15 era points to avoid a dark age and 25 points to get a golden age. The date for the end of the era is given as "35-55 turns" or something like that

Is this "35-55 turns" counter influenced by the player, or is it random within this interval? And if it's random, isn't the mechanic "earn x points by a semi-random date" awful for a strategy game?
