PBEM4 - Email and Technical Issues

Well, I've pretty much been in the worst position for most of the game, and my chances for improving it seem slim at best, but I'll keep playing as long as the turns keep coming.

Yeah, carry on then. I'm happy with the game, still got lots to do.

Probably borderline to say given this is a CTON, but I (literally) challenge the truth of that statement smile.

Eh.

Guess we'll learn when we're eliminated, or when the game ends.

Whichever comes first.

I just separate my views between a desire to quit (which for the record I don't have...the game is interesting and I want to follow through with my commitment. The game just isn't enjoyable for me due to the demo issue.

Hah, I can see a pattern there: I think it's me who has been in the worst position for most of the game. So what does that tell us? lol

You all have incomplete information. OTOH, [Image: popcorn.gif] illustrates my position quite well.

Out of curiosity, what kind of software do you use to crack the password? Home-brewn, or something else?

FWIW, since my PC in the office is switched on all the time anyway, I'm running john the ripper in brute-force mode for 19 days now. No success so far. Even if the password gets cracked soon (which I doubt), it will essentially be too late to make much impact on the game IMHO. But since I'd love to see the graphs after the game to see how much they might have influenced the decisions of the players, I let john running for the next couple of months.
