[Spoilers - Flauros (sunrise089 and darrelljs)]

Okay sunrise089, you are up for the next 10 turns! Here is an overview of where we are and what we should be doing:

Prespur just finished the Governor's Manor and should be pulling a respectable 13H/turn. Worker should be the next build, and it finishes in 3t. After that I suggest Bloodpet/Bloodpet/Settler. Those Bloodpets will be garrisons for the new cities. As the Silk and Gems come online, we want to work the two Aristofarms of course.

This shot of Nubia shows the magic of Governor's Manors. You can see that before ending turn I had a total of 7H theoretical production, however the Monument is 12/40 complete smile. That's +1H per population point. The elves brag on their ability to build improvements on top of forests, but for floodplains and specialists they do NOT get +1H/pop. THey also need to cast Bloom on tiles that don't start with a forest. Now granted there is massive health (and happy with Guardian of Nature) implications as well as +1F when they get Ancient Forests. I'm not saying Governor's Manors are equal or even close, but there are SOME advantages.

Anyway, a 4t Monument followed by a Settler then Worker should be our build order here. Actually, the ideal thing is to get both Settlers done on the same turn to get RoB out quickly, so you might be able to do the Worker before the Settler. We can burn that bridge when we get to it.

Okay, here we need to be careful. After the pasture finishes (don't forget the road) we do the Wheat next. We need to work the forest until chopping it completes the Governor's Manor. I haven't figured that out yet but the chop is worth 16H total. Next build should be a Monument, then I suggest a Hunting Lodge and some Hunters/Hawks. We will be getting Animal Husbandry fairly soon, and Bears are going to be really helpful.

Okay so we have one Worker on the Gems. The Prespur Worker goes here as well. After improving the Gems I would send them both to road the Copper tile. City #4 goes on red dot. It works the Copper Mine until the Monument is complete, then the Wheat when borders expand. City #5 you can see from the sign. It also needs one road, I would have a single Worker handle this. Slow build a Monument here, not much else to do until Slavery.

Some demographics, which I can't summon the courage to comment on frown.

So, if you guys had known about the copper, would you have settled Nubia 1S of it? I assume so...

I would have pushed for N of the Copper and a Warrior rush, especially after getting the 2 Axes.

So you get +1h from the red face on the right hand side of the screen, and +1h per pop that just isn't shown in the hammer box... Shouldn't the hammer box highlight show +1h overflow, +6 from unhappy faces, +5 base production?

EDIT: or is it done that way so that the pop hammers don't get %age multiplyers?

You know, I'm not sure if the multipliers affect GM hammers or not huh. I also honestly have no clue why they don't show up in the box. Anyone else know the answer(s)?

could just be a bug...

I don't think it's a bug so much as an engine limitation. They probably couldn't program it to show up normally for whatever reason. But yeah, since it doesn't go into the box I'm inclined to think that GM hammers don't get multipliers (but there are very few of them in FFH2 anyway, just the forge and 2x resource/industrial/project bonus).

Yeah, it's just a display glitch, fixed in some of the modmods. There are actually a bunch of multipliers for military unit hammers, and I'm pretty sure they do apply to GM hammers.

Thanks for the info thumbsup!. Brief exchange with Serdoa:

Quote: I am glad that you trust me finally. I am open to chat, just let me know a time. And I wholeheartendly agree with you re Ilios. I also don't want a runaway in this game. And I think now is a good time to do something about it, especially if we put our forces together. Taking 1 city from him would probably be enough for now and that should be easily possible if we both take all our units (except the one garrison of course) and get them to one of his cities.

Kind regards,
Serdoa

Quote:Your thoughts parallel mine, although I have not had a chance to talk with sunrise089 yet. I was thinking we might want to get uberfish involved as well (maybe contribute a few Hunters with Hawks). He's a bit far but that could make quite the difference.

Actually, my initial reaction was "I don't want to be Whosit", but I wanted to reply with a positive note. It would, at the least, require a fake war declaration and he would have to trust us to move through his lands (or Cartography). We couldn't see anything either until we got there, since screenshot trading is verboten. What do you think, worth pursuing?

I can't do much to stop Ilios, i'm even more late-game then he is, sadly. The most i can do is rush Empyrean and CoE so that he doesn't get it, which i will do once i get Bronze Working. Even then, it's going to be hard.

Amelia.

Why do I get the feeling everyone wants Chalid?
