RBP4 [SPOILERS] - Shaka of Zulu (sunrise089, regoarrarr, and friends)

I imagine it goes something like, if you build the granary right after growing, you store up the max food, but can't use it until way later when you grow again. You don't lose any food per se, but you delay its use. And yes, I'm sure both regoarrarr and Darrell know this and are just trolling for posts.

You can only store up half the food box, so as long as you build the granary before the food box is half full you're good.

The advantage to timing it RIGHT when it's half fool is that you only have 1/2 the food box needed to grow to the next size (vs. the whole food box if you build the granary when there's no food in the box)

Oh yeah, sunrise is totally guilty of posting too much. In other news, I'll be posting detailed info of when I next plan to be afk, instead of just disappearing for days on end lollollol

Hmm, I believe I was wrong.

You suck the food out of the ground first, and THEN the granary completes. Therefore, the best thing to do is complete your granary just as the orange and brown segments combined fill up half your food bar.

To resurrect an old dotmap

The other horses are 3E of the ivory, 1SE of light yellow dot. I was kind of thinking that might be a good city to settle in the nearer term (pigs / ivory), but it isn't coastal of course

I also noticed that mackoti now has writing (and the ability to offer OBs). I offered them in game though I don't expect them to agree. But maybe they will. We'll have Writing in about 4t as you can see, though that may be affected by the settling of Colerain in a couple of turns

Something like this? Plus 2-4 cities in between depending on how much we want to pack em in.

I'm torn between settling 1SW of the corn, or S-SW of the corn, which gets the corn and fish, and is coastal, but misses 2 grasslands on the northern edge.

Maybe 1NW of the cows for the other city? No food except sharing the (plains) cows though. Pretty low priority for a city
