Serdoa offered a cease fire instead of peace. That and a power spike suggest he will be honoring our NAP, but attacking at its expiration. The worst part is I mis-clicked our Hunter and he can see that we ahve one, so he'll know we have recon on him. First vamp is done, several more coming online soon. I am going to switch capital to Moroi for now. Cash is at about 700. Academy in capital is not doing much smile.

Do you think it makes sense to warn him off? I'm thinking no, since it might just make him attack during the most vulnerable window and violate the NAP, but we may want to preemptively send him an email during like the last NAP turn telling him, for example, that we're not as vulnerable as we once were and while he could do damage it would be a costly victory for him.

Of course instead we could just upgrade our bloodpets and tell him good luck. As long as we don't need the cash reserve then that option may still be best.

My feeling is that the die is cast, and it will be more fun for all involved if we fight without warning him off. Besides if he does attack at least I don't have to feel bad about using vamps on someone we've been cooperating with.

I have a bear headed for culture in a new city, I suppose you want me to hold off on that? Oh, we also got a dungeon!

What'd you get from the dungeon?

No, I bought it for gold. I haven't popped it yet. From Serdoa:

Quote:Hey Darrell,

NAP goes till T160. I guess I'll take a look at it when we reach that point. Right now I have to somehow get my commerce going :/

Kind regards,
Serdoa

Not sure what to believe. We'll prepare in any event.

You bought a dungeon for gold? You mean there was an event that cost gold and spawned a dungeon for you, or what? I don't remember any dungeon-buying mechanics in base FFH.

I ran into one recently which was along the lines of 'an adventurer, retiring, offers to sell the map to a local dungeon that he never had the courage to enter'. I'm guessing that's the one Darrell's referring to.

Precisely. Okay, so we finally get a Hawk over his land:

If he's attacking and breakign the NAP, he can be at Gems city in 4 turns. I think the NAP gives us 1 more turn but let's not bother counting on that. My count is we can have 5 Morio/BPs upgraded to Vampires and another 4 native Vampires in the city by that turn, plus a Bear and two Hunters. With Skeletons and Spectres, we should be fine, unless he adds a lot more Catapults or shows up with something else. Interesting, his power dipped slightly:

Deleting Warriors to save upkeep? There is a problem in our SE:

Uberfish says if they go NE he will kill them. If they go NW, its on us. I bit the bullet and upgraded a Warrior to a Vampire down there, with a Spectre and Skeleton that should be enough.

P.S. We took the Sailing route to Trade so we can't get the Mobility promotion. I think picking that up is worthwhile, but it does delay any race to Chalid or Ritualists.

Did you forget to pass the turn on?
