Holy Cow!
Military State is good but I didn't realise it was that good. Did the before screeny have 15 summoned skeletons in it and 2nd not by any chance or is it really that good?!?!?!

Yeah, the free military units civics are actually much better than most people realise.
Question (because I'm a FfH noob): How many moves do Skeles have normally and then what is the max?

Skeletons are 1 move units but I beleive they can promote up the mobility line to get more - you cannot haste them though as that affects only living units.
Edit - if summoned by a unit with spell extension 1 they get mobility 1 for free, Spell extension 2 grants mobility 2.

Can you summon Skeles if the Vamps have no movement points?

It must sound like I need an oil change, having been up for the past 22 hours...still, this looks interesting...

Skellies can't move on the turn they're summoned though. It was pointed out up-thread previously, but it might spoke your cogs.

Yes, that is the case . Exchange with Serdoa:
Serdoa Wrote:Well, I guess I can say thanks for the game then, that was all the force I had available too me (as the power graph will indicate to you shortly anyway so I think there is no harm done in telling you now). And thanks for the compliment on my expansion. I said in my thread already that if I hadn't gotten that lucky switch of my traits, I would never have been able to compete at all. Adding to that, that the Balseraph are a rather weak (funny especially combined with Perpentach, but nonetheless weak) civ I feel that I got shafted a little bit by the map.
Btw: Great job getting that many vampires in such short time. If I had realized earlier what you want to do with all the gold, I might have been able to react better.
Calabim Wrote:Yeah, they are not a great civ for MP because they need too much time to get up and running. Kind of like the Dwarves, I guess. They can be fun to play in SP though! We ended up saving gold for about 7 turns. Its pretty painful turning tech off for that long but it seemed like a good idea when war became likely. You might say I got the idea when I saw someone in another game mass upgrade an army of Pyre Zombies ;-).
I don't think you are done just yet, I saw some troops with my Hawk and I have to heal up, so there will likely be another grand battle ahead!

Serdoa is calling it way too fast. He probably can't win the game, but he can certainly annoy us and otherwise be a factor.

As Brian says above, skeletons are good "move+dump units" summon, like to help soak collateral or to block a road. Specters are the "move and attack" units.
