All good points Darrell. So do you think that gives us grounds to attack from that locale? I would still think no despite the ambivalence of their answer.

Why not get Archery over Sailing, and then send an archer along with the settler over in the galley? Writing can wait until after Archery.
Although I guess if you can't get the settler out that quickly there's no point in researching Archery first. Speaking of that, what are the concrete plans on settling that spot?

Sailing is 1 turn away and we can't exactly sail over a settler without a galley. We do want to send over a warrior asap to scout out the city site and to check out if NoSpace are rushing the site. And we don't have Hunting.

They will be determined after next turn, I think . The best news from this turn is Stonehenge has not fallen yet. I swear this game is constantly keeping me on the edge. First I have to wait on Polytheism, then I have to wait on Stonehenge . Our southeastern Warrior finds more land:
Continent? Islands? Land bridge? Who the heck knows. I think I will move 9 next. Demographics:
GNP is still doing fine I guess. We added a grassland cottage which doesn't hurt. I suspect we are going to see a few triple whipped Settlers in the coming turn:

I suspect Dyes or Dyes-equivalent in that jungle your warrior is about to enter.

Probably true, and I want to "rush" a settler over there.
Darrell, suggest you move the scouting warrior 69 instead of 9. Will uncover more FoW that way. Not that a food tile that we can't reach is that useful to us, but might help us understand dot maps better.
Um, if we aren't going to overflow an archer out of Brazil, should we bother growing to size 5 or just get the settler asap?

I'm overflowing the second Warrior for Dyes city. Oh, and this?

Good advice:
So there is Kyan. Probably thinking about settling MY Gems . It seems like plako has some symmetry in this map, a point I made to novice:
Quote:Darrell: ok we teched writing, so you should be able to ask for OB
I met Kyan
I believe plako setup this: A overlpas B, B overlaps C, C overlaps D, D overlaps E, E overlaps A
met is wrong...I spot his borders is a better way of putting it
Now for some clever micro work courtesy of Krill:
First Worker chops forest, which means the road can be reached by second Worker using only one movement point. This allows second Worker to reach his pre-chopped forest:
Finally, the third Worker finishes the mine:
That was my contribution. Well, that and the roading and pre-chopping. But my initial micro was wasting a Worker turn, which Krill got back and used to finish a grassland cottage, which we worked. So he made up for the 4 commerce I lost earlier by playing the turn late and tipsy. Oh, and for the super dense, this does indeed mean we get Stonehenge :
Demos:
We are getting 20 from culture and working on a 1.4 tech, so don't brag about the GNP. Maybe it will scare someone though.

You're in position to settle on our continent, someone else will be in position to settle on yours, etc. That's how I think it goes.
As for resource trades, my understanding is that we will trade our first two spare happiness resources with your first two spare happiness resources. Of course we might not end up with happiness resources that the other party lacks, but if we both do, we'll give each other priority in trading.
Darrell Wrote:I think that is EXACTLY how plako set it up. Quite clever really, I'm curious to see the whole thing :-).
Your understanding of the resource trade agreement mirrors mine. I have not defogged my continent but I know for sure I'll have spare Incense. I have to think there will be more.

Question: what are we doing about the GP in USSR? Are we working the priest after food or the mine instead?
Also...settled 2S1E of that eastern clams for a clams/gems city? And fast? I'm wondering if You were't right: maybe Vicky was a good choice after all?
