[Spoilers - Flauros (sunrise089 and darrelljs)]

Sorry, guys no time for a detailed report this turn. Basically I took Hexam with no losses, killing a zillion Swordsmen in the process. Mist decided he would snipe a city from Serdoa as well. Except, uh, he picked the side my army is on hammer.

I think I am close to a deal with Ilios, after which we will discuss the future smile.

Okay, we have a deal in place with Ilios:

1. He gifts me Sun mana for 10 turns. He will offer it in game this turn.

2. He gifts me 100g this turn.

3. The border is set at his proposed city site. Ilios can settle west of that locatoin, and I can settle east of that location.

4. At some later point in time he gets a loan of Palace mana from me.

It, uh, also seems that he'll be summoning Hyborem this turn. That could slow the game down quite a bit while we find someone to play him. It seems likely he is going after the Infernal Grimoire (and probably Sacrifice the Weak). It will be interesting to see what tech he takes. One option if he is sticking with Ashen Veil is Malevolent Designs, it enables a lot of strong units. I think he might also go for Theocracy (tech Religious Law in the meantime) for a quartet of High Priests. With Lighbringers, he could probably pick which flavor he wants.

Now I need to find some life mana. I chatted a bit with Mist. I was torn about attacking him but in the end it was extreme game reasons to do so against the fact that he made the great tracker, so I did:

The city is junk unless I raze his next city, after which its basically AW according to Mist. So

I razed Serdoa's city near Ilios:

I'm hoping to raze Mist's city and caputre Serdoa's last two cities next turn, but we'll see. BTW, three of the units I "killed" were Workers, so I'm up to seven free Workers from this military exercise. I think that's about as many hammers as I spent on my Vampires. City update:

Gonna take some TLC to get these cities productive. Funny thing even with 15 Workers I need more. In four turns I get Corruption of Spirit. That makes Infernal Pact a six turn tech, so in 10 turns I revolt to Religion/StW, and Ashen Veil. Then its Fanaticism -> Malevolent desing for Losh Valas, Eidolons, and me wee little beasties. Not to mention Madero if Ilios isn't sticking with AV. Speaking of which I really should tech Military Strategy for the Heroic Epic. I think its a 3 turn tech? And as much as I hate to admit it, Archery (2 turns) for lumbermills might not be a bad idea. I'm currently working about 7 or 8 forest tiles bang.

Guess who realized after pressing Enter you can't run StW and Religion at the same time?

Maybe StW and Slavery instead.

You kinda need to convert to AV before you can research Infernal Pact. smile

That's a good point...I'll probably do it as soon as I get the tech. Unfortunately without Reagents its only +2 happy/city.

No time for a full report. Serdoa still has one city left. I did not move against Mist. Consolidation turn really. Ilios was correct that snow terrain does not convert to hell terrain, however according to uberfish it does spread under the snow. I'm Evil, and the AC is 22. So its going to be 25 soon and it will start spreading outside Hyborem's borders. It won't spread into my borders until 50 according to Xienwolf's manual, and Hyborem should be really dead by then smile.

Oh, and Corruption of Spirit is due in two turns. Uh...and I started a very expensive Inn because I have nothing else to build smoke.

I thought about that with Blight coming and all, but I don't have a source of Reagents so its only +1 health and equivalent to an Aqueduct. So anyway the question there is +1 health for 60H or +1 happy, +1 trade route, and +1 trade routine income for 167H. I guestimated an Inn adds 3F and 8 commerce per turn. sunrise089 (he lives!) chatted me up on the game situation, and warlord that is suggested another Vampire hammer. Thing is our military is pretty good right now, and my biggest fear is keeping up with uberfish and Ilios on the tech front.
