[SPOILERS - PBEM17] darrelljs - Elizabeth of Egypt

Krill Wrote:Brazil: grow to size 6, triple whip settler, or size 4 for a worker double whip
USA: double whip settler, overflow to wb and regrow to size 4 and double whip a worker, overflowing out the wb.
India: overflow light house? Regrow and whip settler?
USSR: whip granary t56, overflow and build wb? Maybe borrow sheep?
Japan: chop Granary, double slave settler at size 4? Needs 2 cottages.
Thailand: whip wb at size 2 for tentacle cities?

This is what I'm thinking:

Brazil - Whip Workers with overflow into a Library. Then slow build of a Settler. Just kidding smile. Triple whip a Settler. The slow build this time though did give optimal yield for the HG plan (since we only wanted one there anyway).
USA: Double whip Settler, overflow into workboat, fast whip a workboat for red.
India: Chop of Granary, overflow into Settler, whip for purple dot (not sure double vs. triple yet).
USSR: Chop Granary, whip Settler. Sheep ownage t.b.d.
Japan: Yes on the cottages. Chop Granary, whip settler, then whip/build two Workboats (one for red, one for white).
Thailand: Whip a Granary, then a Lighthouse, then a Library (culture battle).

Krill Wrote:Workers:
Blanka: cottage the forest at Brazil for the chop.
Zangief: chop forest 3 of Brazil for worker.
Honda: single cottage then chop the forest 22 of USA?
Guile: chop forest for lighthouse then road to Purple?
Dhalsim: road to red?

Blanka: Road to cyan dot and pasturize Sheep, backfill road, then road to gold city. First Worker from Brazil goes to help, then next Settler from Brazil goes to gold.
Zangife: chop granary, build cottage, t.b.d.
Honda: chop granary, build cottage, t.b.d.
Guile: Chop forest for Granary then road to purple. Faster purple this way, Ligthouse can wait a bit since chop doesn't finish it anyway.
Dhalsim: Road to white

Also, max tech to Currency, then pause and eveluate.

So as I mentioned nospace built the Pyramids. There already high GNP is going to get higher with half cost Libaries and Representation. They did send us shots of their land:

So on top of everythign else they are the favorites to win Magellan's I think duh. Henge border pops reveal lots of land without resources:

We got our Great Prophet at the end of this turn; shrine due in two.

I suppose we can't settle on nospace's other arm without irrevocably pissing them off? lol

India: double slave, it lacks food to grow above size 4. Should eventually get cottage on the grassland to help growth a bit.
USSR: yes.
Japan: sounds about right
Thailand: problem: very slow growth. Could do with receiving missionary. Not going to be a great city so perhaps best to sacrifice a bad cities growth to speed up better cities, which is why using it as a wb slave pump seems nice (we need a lot of wb, more than Japan can produce by itself without taking Japan off a regular slave cycle).

I think you know that I favour Purple over Cyan, as it is a better city and it makes it more efficient on the workers. Also, you haven't slaved the granary in India, have you?

Well, they said they'd DoW if I did in a chat. But at this stage in the game, I'm not sure we can afford them getting more than 10 city sites.

Yeah, India really has 3 good tiles, four if steals a fph. So size four double slaves are best from here. The chop finishes the Granary, then slave for purple dot. Its not that much slower than using the one fro Brazil.

You know...this is absolutely true. 2->1 workboat whips with overflow into a Granary is what this city is good for until IW comes in. We actually need six workboats, although not all can wait on this city.

Looking at StM's and nospace's maps again, it looks like your capital is most well positioned to settle on a neighboring arm. Still have to see Kyan's and rego's islands, of course.

I was thinking the same thing.

Don't settle their other arm, try to settle their islands instead. That'll make it easier for us to defend them (well, all things considered it should, still won't be easy).

Just get as many as possible. Japan can supply the remainder.

I played the turn under direction, so hopefully we can catch up with the turn we missed yesterday. It had to be played under direction otherwise I wouldn't have moved the settlers as Darrell wanted...Still think settling Cyan with only 1 worker is a mistake (more on that later though)

Moved the warrior back, slaved the settler in USA so we can settle one of 4 sites over there. The options are Black for the extra commerce, Red to cut off Kyan, Scarlet for no apparent reason, and Pink to take the end of the continent. and claim the banana. We can whip a wb in Thailand next turn, and build a wb in Japan the turn after that, but I'd prefer the wb from japan to scout out Kyan for TR tbh.

Found ivory and clam. I wonder if it would actually be a better idea to send the Cyan settler over the Navy. if you check hte screenshot closely, you can see that the southern tentacle is very close to Kyan and there is a possibility of losing that ivory and site to Kyan if we aren't careful.

Need to figure out what to do with USSR. I think it should slave the granary next turn (it is at 23/40 and working a gf), overflow a worker (11/40), and grow to size 4 using the sheep asap. Double slave out the worker (62/40) and then finish off that worker. It would actually work better if a chop could be fit in around then though, so perhaps moving over one of the workers near japan.

So, second in CY (first probably shoot with his 23%+ of world pop) and second in GNP (first is NoSpace). I still don;t know why we don't have trade routes, because we have a route to Seaside, and from NoSpaces' maps you can tell that they have a trade route with Seaside, so we are connected to their trade network. *shrug* just get a route to Kyan
