I think he's just a bit surprised what I did with the place.

I would have phrased it "Darrell wanted to co-play the turn to ensure a smooth handoff" and "Darrell was pleased with how I played in his absence", but to the question yes I'm back and I'll do a turn report on the next save, assuming I can be pried from Deux Ex.

Okay, Replaceable Parts in, Rifling is next. Need to square away some diplo in advance of our golden age. I think I want to draft several rounds of rifles first, then swap to peace time civics after. Our military is thin. Very thin. Some screenshots:







Its impressive, rego has a 300 GNP lead over us despite not being FIN. He claims culture is 300 of his GNP, so he has a "true" GNP lead. Novice feels they've slipped to fourth. Shoot has Rifling, but no one else does. I think Destroyers are definitely the next tech target.

Why didn't anyone attack StM before? He didn't have iron, no? And now he has the most tech? Looks like he has the least land to me.

regoarrarr claims I have the most tech (he added beakers up). I think regoarrarr has the most land, although I am not 100% sure. Its a bit shocking nospace and shoot didn't go to war, but that's the way the geopolitics worked out. Here is a current diplo summary:

Open ended NAP with 10t cancellation: nospace, shoot, dave, rego
Offer for MDP: rego

I am sure rego is concerned about Dave. I think that's smart of him. He tried to get a trilateral MDP with nospace and myself. Thankfully nospace said no. I think it would be a problem to go form the dave/shoot camp to the rego/nospace camp. I plan on chasing shoot and dave down to see what they are thinking about. Dave is spamming EIs, who have a very short window of opportunity. Shoot is the only one with Rifling (I'll get it very soon). rego is heading for Frigates. nospace just got Biology, I have to think Steel is next for them.

You going for Destroyers? I have to think that unless people start the cool downs within the next 5 turns you'll be able to build them and get enough out to stop an amphib attacks...

Yeah I think the next stop after Rifling. I know we talked about Radio, and that's still something to consider but I think Destroyers are more important.

Well, Radio is basically what you want so you can draft if need be, but US/FS/Em/SP/Th will be fine long term.

Dave adopted Nationhood on the last turn of his GA, and nospace is only two turns from Steel. Meanwhile, we got Aesthetics. SoL due in 22 turns. Fail gold is acceptable. I took an image showing us tops in GNP with all the boosts, but it didn't show up .
