EDIT: In OCC does the 2 national wonders only rule still apply?
I think it's five, right?

I think so...
Oxford, Globe and National Epic are usually built. Ironworks and National Park doesn't synnergize too well, but I guess it's the best option, anyway.

That's a pretty good city for an OCC.

Part way through my turn set now.
First to gain a promotion was.....
...the starting warrior (now our healer)
Second was the Thestikazi Kouhei. Did we decide its up tot he turn player how to promote units?

Jkaenmaki looked over the city again as Bobiro once again sought council on the risks of assaulting the city.
Getting bored with indecision he nodded to Hon'iden and the two of them picked themselves up and headed off on their own, leaving Bobiro to ponder the defenses without them.
Meanwhile he heard reports that Ito Ittomise had kicked in the door of a small hovel in their search for the the evil men threatening Kurosawa and found a mystic man meditating there. Upon offering him room in our city, the man agreed and consenting to teach others the secrets of his mysticism.
Some time later, Shikaku Ashi the noble warrior tasked with the caretaking duties of the city spotted a spy seeking to gain knowledge of our city, and acted quickly to remove the threat. Treating his wounds he used his experience to perfect the treatment of others.
Meanwhile Thestikazi and Ito Ittomise were busy putting down the wildlife that was infesting the region, and determined that from now on they would learn more from each of their battles.
Around Aachen, Hon'iden decided that he would begin to put the german farms to the torch. Considering this dishonrouable, Jkaenmaki forged on alone.
In the distant North West Thestikazi discovered the weaker defended Thebes.
Just as the town scientists worked out how to extract the metals from the nearby hills

You are allowed and encouraged to promote for other players. What promotions you give your fellow Samurai should be a major strategic consideration for this semi-competitive game. Will you decide to confound your companions with useless promotions which make it difficult for them to obtain points, or give them worthwhile abilities so that we may triumph as a group (with yourself at the lead, of course )?
Also think of it this way- you did them a favor by bumping up their score, so it's only fair that you can decide how to expend their promotions during your turn =)

I'd prefer City Raider promotions.
As a general thing: we'll need Spears to keep out pesky Horse Archers. Who thinks we'll actually win this? I have no clue.
