Thanks for telling me, I guess... That's though.

Hunting->AH is 11 turns, a worker with a dud start is 10 turns. A worker with a plains hill start is 8 turns. In that case one would have to hope for a Deer resource I guess, or one could grow to size 2 in 5 and then complete a worker in 7.
With a seafood start hopefully everybody has the same handicap of having to tech fishing... At least Fishing+TW enable Pottery, so you could skip Agriculture. If you grow to 2 while teching fishing (assuming you have a 3f tile available), you can get Fishing->Hunting->AH before the worker completes. If you start the worker while teching Fishing, the worker completes before AH (unless you grow to 2 after completing the workboat but before completing the worker).

OK, so Zak picked Spi/Org, Dazed picked Cre/Org and BGN picked Cre/Ind. Not what I expected, pity I didn't get Louis.
I could pick Ind just to nerf BGN a bit, but it's also tempting to just pick Cre/Imp and a Fishing civ and be guaranteed a fast start.
Fishing civs:
Code: America, Navy SEAL, Mall, Agriculture, Fishing
Carthage, Numidian Cavalry, Cothon, Fishing, Mining
Dutch, East Indiaman, Dike, Agriculture, Fishing
England, Redcoat, Stock Exchange, Fishing, Mining
Greece, Phalanx, Odeon, Fishing, Hunting
Japan, Samurai, Shale Plant, Fishing, The Wheel
Native Americans, Dog Soldier, Totem Pole, Fishing, Agriculture
Portugal, Carrack, Feitoria, Fishing, Mining
Rome, Praetorian, Forum, Fishing, Mining
Spain, Conquistador, Citadel, Fishing, Mysticism
Vikings, Beserker, Trading Post, Fishing, Hunting
Filtering out the Agri/Fishing civs:
Code: Carthage, Numidian Cavalry, Cothon, Fishing, Mining
England, Redcoat, Stock Exchange, Fishing, Mining
Greece, Phalanx, Odeon, Fishing, Hunting
Japan, Samurai, Shale Plant, Fishing, The Wheel
Portugal, Carrack, Feitoria, Fishing, Mining
Rome, Praetorian, Forum, Fishing, Mining
Spain, Conquistador, Citadel, Fishing, Mysticism
Vikings, Beserker, Trading Post, Fishing, Hunting
Hmm...
I have to run.

Cathy of Rome and Cathy of England would be solid choices. However I'm really liking the idea of Cathy of Greece. Creative Odeons for +3 culture and +2 happy, and for the early game we have Axemen who aren't vulnerable to Chariots? Sounds pretty sweet, actually.
I can tech an early math and currency, letting hammer-heavy cities build wealth, and instead of the standard calendar play for happiness I can get construction.

So, I take it you picked Catherine as the most Pyramids-independent choice?
