Then that's probably another tech he has to research before he gets machine guns, although I might be mistaken, plus strength 15 cav's are not going to stand up to strength 20 infantry. It's going to be a big slaughter for Old Harry

Let's do some math shall we?
Let's say both the infantry and cavalry have 2 promotions Cavalry Total Strength Infantry Total Strengh 15*.1 +15*.25+15 20*.2 +20=22 1.5+3.75+15 18.75 The actual percentage is about a 15% in the Infantry's favor Which is greater than the percentage between Praetorian and Axes by double the amount. If rego was able to destroy infantry with cavalry, then I am pretty sure that the person with the infantry made a mistake that costed him. Also u spelled destroy wrong

Nah, Cav actually win the trade provided the inf have to wade through culture for a few turns. It comes down to collateral and microing the attack with when to attack with cav versus cannons and junk. Also, you did the calculations wrong. It's 16.5 v 19.2. The Pinch %ag modifier acts on the defending unit, which is the inf. Also, numbers of units matter, for example how to use F2 cav on attack to wreck machine guns, and how many you should use.
Interesting I never knew that happened, does that also happen with formation and shock? Regardless though, it's gunna be interesting how this plays out.

Most likely Hydra will lose the game. He made a huge mistake trying to kill everyone without taking any spoils. He can still win, but he needs to expand starting RIGHT NOW and build cities in Azza's land that he has cleared.
He should watch some 40-minute Starcraft matches where someone was already way ahead after 15 minutes but couldn't win the game for a long time because he needed to slowly further build his advantage until it became unstoppable. (This is particularly important against terran who are ridiculously cost-effective on defense.)
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)

Yeah his war vs Serdoa did cost him a lot but didn't earn him enough. |
