Tottenham just made an extremely good signing, Paulinho from Corinthians, a Defensive Midfielder (he played for Brazil in the Confederations Cup). The guy has everything, he knows what to do when he has the ball, he is very good at marking/disarming and he scores a crazy amount of goals for a defensive player.

That you would need a comeback of that magnitude against the US is shameful smile.

The toughness of NFL players to their counterparts in other sports is greatly overstated. If there were more opportunities to reward faking fouls/injuries, there would be more faking fouls/injuries. Its a different kind of toughness - one game has violent collisions in uniforms that are essentially designed to be weapons, but also has a 16-game season and so many substitutions and clock-stoppages that the average player probably plays no more than 15 minutes in a game. Anyway, no reason really why they can't both be "tough."

As long as we're showing games we enjoyed...

Or as I prefer to recall it:

I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Yeah I like both kinds of football, I just haven't had as much exposure to the worldwide football scene as I have with American football.

I agree they're both tough; I played both sports for 4 years in high school, and I couldn't tell you one of them is better or tougher or whatever than the other one, the progression of the game as well as what is required from the players just isn't worth trying to compare. And they're both very entertaining in their own ways.

Did they ever get to the bottom of that? Most convincing theory I heard was that Ronaldo had a seizure due to the pressure...
