RBP2 Lurker Discussion Thread - No Players!

Do we want to put together a general write up of our map making approach for public consumption? I've only read 1 thread and already it is stating that 'I bet the map makers did this to us on purpose".
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Other than saying we rerandomized the starts after finishing hte map, I don't quite know what to say...
Looks interesting. Did not contribute much apart from the initial discussion with Krill and I had something differrent in mind when saying donut. :D
Anyway, thanks all for the effort. mh

I know this is too late to matter, but I was wondering whether the different amount of forests at each capital can lead to a balancing issue??
Anyway, for a very casual CIV gamer like myself I must say I enjoy reading about the tought process you went through mapmaking as well as all the reports here at RB

Did Liping get a non-river corn (or wheat)? Also, I see her food tile is not adjacent to setllerâ¦

LiPing got a lake Rice. When she mouses over the Rice when she logs into the game, it will show that it has fresh water.
2 things:
Zulu started next to Rome...again. Reckon they can become allies this time? DMOC thinks rushing is "dishonourable". He could be in for a rough ride in this game... Krill Wrote:DMOC thinks rushing is "dishonourable". He could be in for a rough ride in this game... I interpreted that to mean that he thinks declaring on your foes on, say, turn 12, with just a scouting warrior and taking the capital is dishonorable. Sullla might choose to pass on that, more out of fear of a dogpile than being "honorable", but I wouldn't expect anyone else to. Now, if that means he's not expecting an axe rush...yeah, he's toast. At best he'll end up suffering from a worker poach, if he goes that route. Zulu vs. Rome: Yeah, such is the luck of the draw. That's the danger when we rerandomize the starts. :neenernee (Though it was the right call) |
