shades = hooked turn resource is available to be hooked.
cool = being hooked (land based).
hammer = got plans to hook it up.
shakehead = no workers in the area.
smoke = haven't even built the unit that will improve the tile yet.

I think either smug or neenerneener (to the other players) are acceptable.

Went in game and revolted us to Rep. Looking at Boilermakers, I think we should chop the workboat out there. Any workboat from the capital will take 6 turns to reach after it's been made. We could also whip a workboat out of Valiants - that city is already looking at 13 turns whip anger right now (so what's another 10? lol ), and then add 5 turns travel time.

If we do build the workboat in a city other than Boilermakers then we should chop a lighthouse.

I couldn't find a good way to get the workers up towards Oilers, so I just moved them. I am apologizing to Noble here and now for all the wasted worker turns.

Also, here's why mackoti has the best chance of winning of any civ that we've met:

If that was our continent there'd be 4 civs in that area.

I think he just settled a couple more cities too. He does have stone moderately in range and he's EXP, so I'm expecting a 13+ city Hanging Gardens any turn now, hah.

At Boilermakers, I was kinda hoping to save the chops for lighthouse + Moai there where we'll get doublers on both of those builds. I think it getting a slightly slower start is worth the trade-off of getting Moai faster given its absurd water tile availability.

Also, I think I want to rename Oilers to Bills, given the running NFL joke that the Bills play in Toronto every now and then, and they've been rumored to be moving to Canada for forever, but it's never going to happen. Seems appropriate given its proximity to our Canadian neighbor.

I like the rename idea smile

We should chop a granary rather than a lighthouse at Boilermakers. A granary doubles the food bonus.
