William was first in land, I think, I'm not sure. Pedro is settling a lot of coastal / island cities so his real estate isn't accurately measured by counting the number of land tiles. But if you want a certain answer you'll have to log in.

Communism? lol... We're at least 24k beakers behind just to get to Communism, ignoring the path to Rifling. I should really just log in and push the red button. Retep has swapped to US and will take the Kremlin, further distancing himself from the field. Why continue this game any longer? I hate to lose a game and not have a good idea for how good a player really is. He hasn't made any missteps, to his credit, and conducted an easy naval campaign without screwing it up, so I can't take anything away. And, he's built up a very good economy. The two biggest decisions he made (from what I can tell) were to build the GLH (perfect for this map, especially unnerfed) and to sit back and tech. The 79 biggest factors in his win are: #1-22 the map, #23 deciding to build GLH, #24-37 the map, #38-44 landing ORG/SPI (two traits that don't inflate your score early in the game and let everyone else think you suck and are no threat to win until it is too late), #45-78 the map, and #79 THE MAP.
Ok, I'm officially over it now.
I'm waiting one more turn to revolt from Police State back to Rep because work boats still get the +25% hammer bonus from Police State. We'll likely revolt next turn with a couple of boats on the move.
T200 - No way I'm doing a proper round number report this time. We're finishing up work boat builds at the end of this turn so next turn we'll eat some anarchy and swap back into representation. We're currently losing 46 gpt at max tax. On an unrelated topic, I gifted a C2/pinch cataphract to Oxy because why not. I'm thinking about randomly gifting odd units here and there to people in the hopes that maybe someone will use them. Or because it amuses me. Or both. Or neither. Anyway we have 57 phracts right now, which would do a whole lot of damage if focused narrowly on a single target. But we've already covered this ground. Maybe Oxy would find an entertaining use for a lot of them, though?
Did we ever agree on what to do with the settler on the galley? I'm sailing him through Standard Oil this turn and he's headed for a long ride down the coast. Maybe to one of Wetbandit's unused icy fish spots. Maybe all the way down to the south of Oxy. Maybe it will be eaten by a sea monster on the way and I won't have to move the unit anymore. I resisted the obvious punk move of pillaging William's seafood tiles that are exposed until Standard Oil comes out of revolt, at least for this turn. If I'm in a bad mood next time maybe his nets get pillaged. It would be fun to tug on Superman's cape, right?
Amusingly our GNP is up to 6th this turn, ahead of two people despite our ongoing defecit and the fact that no one is in anarchy this turn. Looks like Oxy and Kuro, but I'm surprised to be ahead of Oxy.
Then again, he does still have a gob of units around. We located his army playing zone defense around his capital, 30 units in one stacak, 38 in another. That doesn't include the 29 units in his border city near us and Suttree. So that's a lot of cash he's spending every turn, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at how bad his economy rates, I'm just surprised that we managed to rank above him with this defecit.
Anyway as our southern cities grow it will of course reverse, but we'll still probably cap out as the fifth or sixth rank economy, depending on if we can catch Suttree or not. He has a fair amount of cottages in a now more compact area, and ORG surely isn't hurting him either. I don't know what his totals are for maintenance, but we've cut our number to 140 gold per turn. That's an improvement....
Oh, about the giant gathering of phracts in the picture above. They're going to be positioned right on Suttree's border the turn before our peace expires. And I assume we'll try to play before him on the turn peace does expire so we can declare war and offer peace. Or declare war, see how he's defended, and see if there is anything we want to kill. But probably we want to reoffer peace so we can get back to hitting the red button.
What we're building:
Kind of sucks to be building so much key infrastructure this late in the game, but it's what we're doing. I imagine quite a few of these build queues will go over to wealth as soon as the critical stuff is in. Anyone have questions or want to see anything in particular? Boldly will be glad to post a more detailed report.

I think it was 54 cataphracts, over 50 muskets, and probably not nearly enough catapults. I'll be swapping our heroic epic city to building cats soon as we leave police state so it will be able to one turn build those. One turn building phracts had been nice, though, even if I gave one away. (Boldly didn't like that, eh, ok).
So anyway I'm sure we have enough units in case one of the Have Nots wants a piece of us, and probably not enough tech in case one of the Haves wants to fight. I don't see either case being all that much fun at this point since I just want to play shorter turns. This morning was a success, it only took 30 minutes!

What I learned: Good thing we banned them, because we (the Possum Kingdom) don't have the MFG to keep up a sufficient testing regime.
