4) whipping to the bloody stub and defending with tenacity creates a reputation that lasts far beyond this game. Xenu gained a lot of respect in pb8 that would definitely sway me in future games. If I have Xenu on one side and Cheetah on the other, history informs my strategy.

Putting this here for posterity, and just in case anyone has missed it, but these three posts by Commodore need to be read by every player here:

At least he's indicated to be that that's likely in chat. (December 8th, 2013, 02:39)pindicator Wrote: And here I notice we have a problem. This galley needs to go back home so we can get all of our zerkers loaded and onto galleys for the nakor war. If the galley goes straight home then it will mean declaring on Nakor on t137 and offering peace again on t138, meaning that we can't declare war again until t148. I think Pindicator would prefer to attack earlier than T148. In fact if I read their plans to save gold for Knights correctly they could be ready to attack as early as T142, though more likely shortly thereafter -- assuming they choose to send their galley around via Commodore and it can make it that distance in time.
Sounds like the Scoopin attack lands ob t142 or 143. just in time for capturing a couple forges! no mention of the power spike from commodore, but seems unlikely he'll have the standing army to intervene on nakor's behalf. He's got the pop, but it would take him some time to mobilize an army.
Popcorn!
I think Commodore will heave a sigh of relief when Pindicooter declare on Nakor. He seems to be wearing his builder shoes in this game.
I doubt that Comm plans to do anything to save Nakor. Not during the heyday of zerks while having a lot of coastal cities.

Course, he's not the only civ sharing a border with Vikings who'd prefer they not become a super power. I don't really expect Lewwyn to intervene, but it'd be fun to watch if he did.
