Correct, start the road then cancel the action before ending turn 22. Then on turn 23 when Mining comes in start the Mine. Are we squeezing in two turns per day now?
I think the Sulla/Speaker post count is lurker driven, but I also expect that one or two of Sulla's posts have the same volume as, say, 20 of ours .
I don't think it is clear cut you guys will jump TCU, even though the computers ignores margin of victory. You are already #3 in the computer polls, so you won't be moving up. The question is will TCU move down? Its true their SOS will hurt them but who's going to jump them? We are assuming Texas/Florida+Alabama lose, so it won't be them. It won't be Ga. Tech even with our strong remaining schedule because we have a loss. That leaves Boise State, who has an even worse schedule than TCU. So my guess is you guys won't jump them but will cement your #3 computer ranking and #5 overall ranking.
@novice - as you can tell not only do we have totally different sports, but ours has the most asinine way of selecting a champion imaginable. Seriously, you could not come up with a worse system if you tried.

You can check who's posting in the thread without going into it - you and I are about even with S&S and Sunrise has 30 posts in ours - so definitely lurkers. I wonder if they have found the time to do any C&D information. Having tried in 2 games now, it's just real hard with this many people.

I don't know about all that. I just hope that we beat Pitt so that we aren't relegated (thanks to stupid Notre Dame) to the Meineke Car Care Bowl

It's gonna take a lot more than $100:neenernee The reason we still have the B©S is the money.

As an avid football fan (soccer), our systems are, in my opinion, really decent.
The only debatable sections seem to be whether penalties or the playoffs system is fair but i agree with both.
Sorry to be a newbie, but what is the system they use for american football?

Basically it's a convoluted average of computer and human polls, which then pit the #1 and #2 teams in this average into a pseudo national championship game. It's IMO very biased against teams that are not in the "Big 6" conferences as well as teams that do not have tons of "tradition".
So, it appears the key to getting lots of lurker interest is talking about controversial topics like the BCS.

Sure, if you want: :fireball:.
This year, the problem is more that only two teams have a chance to play for the national title, than the wrong two teams are getting in. Cincy or TCU might have a weak argument to pass Texas, but the winner of Florida-Alabama deserves to play for the title. Right now there are 6 undefeated teams, and while Florida and Alabama still have to play each other, chances are 3 12-0 teams aren't going to be able to play for the national championship. Now, if Texas loses a game, then sanity REALLY goes out the window.
