I missed the beginning, was the world-travelling galley still 3-move? Looks like it doesn't matter this turn...
It matters cuz the 3-mover needs an extra turn to get to the next city, and 2 additional turns to get to the cap.
(All this relates to the Scooter livestream of t142)
They can move one of the Zerkers on the 3 move galley into the now empty space on one of hte 4 move galleys so it doesn't matter as much. Actually, they can shuttle both of them over so all of the Zerkers are available to attack the city next turn, or play defense in the newly captured city.
If he hadn't moved the empty galley first, he could have transferred the units this turn and have 4 units (two full health, two damaged) ready to attack the next city.

Dave, the trailing Zerks can still transfer galleys (at sea) next turn, but the trailing galley would have to move up. The better move would be to unload the 2 trailing zerks on the gold tile now. Next turn they can walk to the galley stack themselves, freeing the slow boat to pick up more units, or whatver. Kind of a big goof not having workers there to road toward 49ers. That makes a bigger difference than the boat movement does.
Why not, Scoopin aren't a threat while they eat Nakor. No better time to redo William's dotmap.

See William's thread for how an "i'm about to get attacked" feeling should turn into action... makes me sad seeing multiple civs see power spikes and do nothing. looks to me now like William wants to make his attacker PAY!
Also dtay leaving workers on the border unguarded. finally some bad single-player habits from the new guy. still won't be shocked if he's a sock puppet... |
