Checked out the southwest
 Ivory wasn't quite as foody as I was hoping for. Means the southwest will probably be my first city site. Unfortunately, there's a frickin bear lumbering around. My free barb victory is still intact, I can maaaaaaaybe preserve it until I get a warrior to the area. Finding my first nonjungled happy is a win though, even if it can only visibly be fed by a Commodore special.
I received a nice surprise whilst scouting this turn.
 Someone's finally got the weedkiller out on Xenu's resources. Well one of them at least. The happy from ivory is tempting, but I still prefer the sheep/corn (well mainly corn, culture is a problem at the minute) spot to the southeast for a second city.
I considered a city on the hill where the scout is standing, this would grab both the rice and the ivory first ring. However, outside of the resources the city has completely shit tiles aside from the two resources and useful as the happy would be I'd rather have a stronger second city and slot in the ivory grab later when granaries are in play and growth is faster. Copper appearing 1W of the scout would change my mind though.
You need to eat your vegetables, obviously.
