novice+Krill: Lincoln/Mongolia>Willem/Babylon. Meh, Willem wouldn't have been my first choice but it's fine, I suppose, and Babylon at least works better with CRE even if the Garden is shite for the first 200 turns of the game.
WLP: Sitting Bull/Byzantium>FDR/Mongol. Sitting Bull, PRO/PHI, to IND/ORG...I'd be reasonably happy with that, but Byz as Fishing/Myst is an almost guaranteed early religion which can be amazing late game. So I suppose this is a reasonable re-roll if William simply didn't want to play PHI.
Queeg: Ragnar/France>Zara/Byzantium. Stupid re-roll. AGG/FIN of France? I'd swap quite a lot for that combo.
Plako: Charlemagne/Vikings>Lincoln/France. Ouch, I think this might need a second re-roll, but the first just
Ruff: Willem/Babylon>Augustus Caeser/America. *shrug* I can see why the re-roll on the first attempt, but the second one isn't any better IMO. Maybe even a little worse?
Whosit: Sulieman/America>Hammurabi/Vikings. So...still get Zerkers with free C1? and cheap Trading Posts? Pretty sure this is the winning the re-roll lottery.

Quote:Financial: +1 commerce on all non-river tiles that have 2+ commerce. +100% production of Bank.
Creative: +2 culture per city. +100% production of Theatre, Colloseum, Observatory.
Fin still applies to coast and creative is +2 culture? Sounds good to me.
I have to run.

Yup. Basically the differences to base BtS is that Fin doesn't trigger on rivers, and CRE doesn't give cheap libraries, but we get cheap Banks and Observatories to make up for that. I suppose the only thing to hope for is that Commodore pulls through with that plains hill stone and double wet corn start we paid him for...

I seem to be able to connect and handle the mod and 34 civs just fine.
Practicing my flying camera skills, the test map seems to be cylindrical and 100 x 56ish tiles (I had to do the goto trick in flying camera mode*, which is... tricky) and Babylon starts 22 tiles from the southern edge.
*The alternative method is getting a monstrously large screen or increasing the field of view setting in the civ.ini file, which I didn't bother doing for this test.
I have to run.

I will probably just start to play full screen on 1920*1080. I might even wish I had one of those fabled 1440p monitors...
Actually...

I'm trying to come up with some enthusiasm for another re-roll, but looking over what's left...even if I were to say best case scenario (few people will re-roll, we'll likely only get Babylon, France or Mongolia again) there are just so many unfun leaders to get. There are potentially 3 PHI leaders, and a few other things. So I'll have to say I'll give up on my contrarian mindset and say this is fun enough to play.

I really like how this combo illustrates the generally "buff" nature of the mod's balance changes.

Yeah. I mean there are probably a bunch of other things that, given the choice, I'd be willing to play, but I wouldn't be doing it because they were any stronger (even though they may be). Just want an interesting scenario to play out.

So, uh, novice, you want to do an opponent analysis (OK, I'll be fair, joint effort?)
