I'm rooting for scooter, but i'm afraid his plan is strategically flawed
Break-ups are tough.

How does William ALWAYS end up in the right place at the wrong time??
Well I think that it has a bit to do with hoping for peace despite all evidence. His high preference for peace means that he'll take it at anytime largely regardless of other strategic considerations.
Or was that pursuing war despite all evidence (Master Commodore)?

Welcome PIndicator. You've helped lead one of the most memorable games on the site, and put in an amazing amount of work. Congrats.
It looks pretty clear that Mackoti and Pindiscooter (as the team shall still be known to me!) are both starting to suffer crippling amounts of real life war weariness. And fair enough too. Hopefully after some peaceful turns between them we'll see the full blown modern war climax this game deserves.

Doubt that. After Bigger got swallowed there is a high chance the others will concede.

If mack doesn't feel like he can attack then it might be game over. But if mack shows up in force at the end of the enforced peace, he could really catch the Viking troops out of position.
And it's a shame Commodore is in his own little builder world. He's going to win the race to Communism as far as I can tell. Easily the highest GNP- he was crushing us when we started that last GA

Yeah, Commodore decided pretty early that this was a game to leave you guys alone.
And Hey! In hindsight, how do you feel the t4 archery mishap??

Silly
It was still a mistake even if it had benefits later on. If Commodore had gotten copper in a location that led to an axe rush it would have been far more a serendipitous an accident than it was in the game. But here we could have defended with chopped warriors just as well.
And after reading Commodore's thread I wish I had convinced scooter to attack him. No military, no food. We would have sailed up on both coasts and razed the cities we couldn't hold.
But I never managed to convince scooter to do anything he didn't already want to do, that's kind of why I stepped down.

Wanted to comment on this. We had fought for our side of what we thought was right and lost. So you're saying after the admin okayed sell cities we should then hobble ourselves against the rest of the field out of a sense of moral rightness?
Back to the game...

Will you defend Dhal-style, just whip cities to the ground and make him wade through bodies to get to you? Or will you play intelligently and try to conserve troops for brutal counterattacks?
Mnnnn, I was think whip everything to the ground while teching rifling. Then Whip everything to the ground again for rifles. During this I continue to just make the most massive Stack of death that I can and then I will put it on Scooters borders and force him to keep an army around to defend until Mackoti's peace is up. Then I'll just keep building an army till I have 100+ units or something and start moving in on Scooter. Probably pop out a Great Artist to use on a captured city as well.
Or something.
I really am not looking forward to telling scooter 'I told you so...'

No, but it still has some irony.

So this might seem a bit weird, but what do the lurkers think of the tech pace of the game for the leaders now?
